I don't know where this seller got them. I had previously bought some regular eFests (not those suspect hi-amp kind) from this seller, and was very happy with them, so I trusted them again -- I pointed that out in the msg I sent them, but that I would not be buying anything from them again. I'm sure they're just heartbroken over that. :D But I did also say that I'd be publicizing this at ECF (though I haven't yet named them, and may not, if their response is in any way adequate), and they might be a bit more nervous about that. :D

We'll see.

Do not name the vendor in the public forum. You should make a Negative Review in the proper forum if a Negative Review is warranted.
Out here, vendors can not address any complaints. In the Negative reviews Section, they can at least have the opportunity to discuss their business with you....should it come to that.

AWs all have hollow recycling symbols on them. If the recycle logo arrows are solid black it's most certainly a fake. The new hologram AW stickers react to ultra violet/black light and show "VOID VOID VOID VOID" throughout the sticker if it's legit.

Top is legit, Bottom is el Fako. (I pulled the AW stickers off the fakes).

Also re: the OP's picture.. that AW sticker is way too large, the older black stickers were about a 1/4 smaller.

( Edit: Bah, windows and pictures, they were sideways on my phone, straight in windows, and sideways in the post again.. )

Eh, sideways works. Easier to read the side of the battery that way :D

That made me think back....way back. I remember being able to scrounge what I needed for a pack of cigs even though we were flat broke. Taking bottles back to get deposit money back, digging in couch cushions, checking all coat pockets..... It was easier to find the smaller amount for cigs than it would've been to come up with larger amount to order something online and figure in the cost of shipping.

Sometimes things are tight financially. It happens. Even if vaping is cheaper than smoking, there is still the cost that needs to be met at the time of the ordering.

That's exactly it -- it wasn't usually that difficult to come up with $11 for 2 pks of smokes; I had stopped buying them in cartons when they went over $50/carton, because it just offended me. I realize I was still paying as much if not more, buying them 2 pks at a time, but it was one of those tricks that smokers play on themselves, to avoid being confronted with their own stupidity. We really have saved money since I started vaping, but purchases are usually somewhere between a half-carton and a full-carton in terms of price ($25-$55), plus the shipping, and those kinds of sums are sometimes more difficult to come up with.

At least I still have all the stuff I've bought as a vaper, other than ejuice, cartos, wick and wire, instead of just buying things in order to set them on fire and turn them to ash -- while pounding another nail into my coffin in the process. :D

Right, I remember that from when I first started and had a problem with a vendor. And I won't name them at all, if they get back to me in any sort of human, positive fashion. It's possible they didn't know either, so I won't rush to condemn them.

Yeah uh, as far as I know AW doesn't make flat-top batteries.

I was about to snap a picture of mine and be like "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT" but I totally forgot my 18350's are button tops, and I've only seen button top AW 18350's now that I think about it.

But yeah, I don't know why you wouldn't go with a certified legitimate flat-top 18350, considering they do exist.

Well I had a look at the authorized resellers list, and YAY! desertvapes.com is on the list! I order from them all the time, so I can add a battery here, a battery there, everywhere a battery battery. :D They have oodles of driptips, some of them I'm just dying to try out, and they're not even very expensive, but nice driptips! And a great price on the Smok Kick for when I get another mech.

I noticed that ecigexpress is also on the list, another that I order from pretty regularly, but I went and looked, and they don't have any AW batteries on their website. :(
