do fake kanger protank coils exist?

I was wondering if anyone knows of there are knock off protank coils out there. I ordered 5 from an online shop and was expecting a 5 count blister pack but instead got 5 in a small zip lock. They look like the real thing but the first one isn't performing like the ones that came with the tank. Could also just be a bad coil as well.

That's really odd. I order my heads from surevapes and they come in the blister caps. I recommend them if you ever want to give them a go, shipping is free.

Is the ohms resistance the same as the first head you used? I haven't heard of any fakes of these but they could be out there.

You can make them perform exactly how u want by choosing 28, 30, or 32 gauge kanthal wire and cotton, hemp, silica, ekowool silica, xt 116 ceramic wick or SS mesh......many many options.....

Mine all came lose.
Only one of them had the wick oxidized. After the second nasty coil, I just rebuilt all of them with SS & 1 2mm silica flavor wick (oxidized of course).
Tightened the draw just a bit and at 1ohm they work awesome on my mechs.

An easy way to tell if the wick has been oxidized is to take a pair of tweezers and firmly pinch the exposed part of the wick. You should be able to pinch off a small chunk, since oxidized silica is very easy to break. Plus it tastes like ....!
Un-oxidized... you can swing from the trees with it. aah.. might not really want to try that! LOL!

I got my groove for like 47 from him cheapest place around.

Thanks. These were 2.5 ohm and they do test out to 2.5 . I was just surprised by the packaging .
