Do Ya'll Vape in Hotel Rooms?

I don't think she said she refrained from vaping in no smoking areas out of concern for others health.

I'm thinking more out of "courtesy" for the cleaning staff and the next person to use the room. And then there is the wishes of the hotel owner and management.

Since your are a stickler for only vaping in smoking areas, aren't you concerned that you could be harming others or bothering the next person using that room? You could vape in the room and leave and then 5 minutes later the maid could come in. What if it effects that maid?

If you believe that we should act like vaping is the same as smoking and should be considered the same as smoking, then vaping in a non-smoking room would appear to be hypocritical. If you asked the hotel management if it was alright to vape in their non-smoking room, what do you think they would say?

Never once have I ever said that I believe that Vaping is the same as smoking and that we should treat it as such. It's just my personal preference, that while out in public, if it's a No Smoking area, I just don't Vape. That's my decision...has nothing to do with the rest of the Vaping community.

A hotel is by it's very nature "public" in that thousands of people use it at the same time. It's not the same as one's car or home. The rationale behind no-smoking hotels is the same rationale for no-smoking buildings that have designated smoking areas, just like hotels do.

I did it last night actually. If there was a lingering odor they would probably assume it was a toiletry item before something "smoking related"

I have every intention of vaping in my hotel rooms when I travel. I also always try to have a balcony or patio just because I am slightly claustrophobic in closed rooms. At least now I don't have to live outside on the balcony...

I posted a link to the thread where it was discussed. I'm not saying it's right, just saying the OP could potentially avoid a hassle by making sure the hotel has no excuse to slap an extra charge on the room that would take a while to dispute. I just skimmed through the thread I posted, and it seems that the hotel claimed they could smell smoke and found an electronic cigarette. They claimed the room would have to be cleaned which would cost them money.

It's obvious the hotel was ignorant about PVs,,,,,,they don't smell like smoke,,,,,,,if they smelled smoke in the room, it got there through a vent (which means someone else was smoking in THEIR room). I hope she got her money back.

I have stayed at many hotels since I started vaping. I absolutely vape in each room that I have stayed in. I love the fact that I no longer have to worry about timing my last cig before I go to bed, nor do I have to get dressed in the morning to go have that first cig. I can get ready for the day leisurely.

Wow! I'm a normal person now! No longer relegated to the back where people can't see me standing around in bad weather. I've never been dinged on my card for a charge to have it 'cleaned'. Same for rental cars. Cigarette smoke is very noticeable hours and hours after the cig is done. Vapor, if there is a scent, pretty much is gone before the staff get to the room to clean it.

I would certainly have any strong smelling vapes left behind or only used when out of the hotel or car, but I wouldn't/haven't hesitated to vape mild smelling liquids.

LOL The reason we are going now on Vacation...is because I just placed an order the other day to FT..its my second order from them..the first order, I drove myself nuts stalking the tracking number...I couldn't handle it again...so figured it was time to get away for a while, to make time go by faster before I get my Vamo! LOL...and here Y'all thought your vaping habit is costing you loads of $$.

I vape where I please no law against it I saw a pilot vaping on the plane not too long ago so I'm sure hotel rooms would be no problem

I stay in hotels for months out of the year and vape in every one. I ask if it's okay every time and I've never heard anything except, "Of course."

I defy anyone to tell the difference in scent between my strawberry smelling shampoo and my strawberry vape.
