What recent developments are you referring to Fiery? I know that Flavour Art is reformulating to remove diacetyl from most of their flavorings, just wondering if there is something else that I may have missed.

Hi Bovina, in addition to FA removing diacetyl, a supplier has announced that they will be doing extensive testing and making the results public and have also invited other suppliers to join. So if diacetyl is being removed by manufacturers and suppliers are willing to test and release results...I'm of the opinion that this letter being made a sticky is probably not needed at this point.

I'm not sure I agree with that. Yes, there's been some movement, but the issue is far from dead. A sticky would (A) provide a permanent sounding board as long as diacetyl-laced liquid and the controversy in its regard continues to exist, and (B) represent tacit evidence that the vaping community is a responsible group of individuals (no matter what the FDA and non-thinking, knee-jerking anti-vapers would have you believe).

Thank you for the response Fiery, yes I knew about all of those developments and they are moves in the right direction. I also agree with Politically Incorrect that a sticky is still a great idea.

Just so everyone knows, Flavour Art is not removing diacetyl from ALL of their flavorings, you still have to keep an eye on their ever changing diacetyl free list posted on their website. IIR, they will continue to use it in their butter and buttery flavors. But it is still progress.

@Coughing Bad, we are talking about some of the chemicals that the flavorings of e-juice are made from :)

Upon further reflection...I agree with you and Politically Incorrect. Let's keep it going then! :)

I think I've let this go on much longer than it should have. I let the OP know before this thread was created that it wouldn't be happening. I've also explained my reasons why on the first page of this thread. I can't understand what the purpose would be to keep this thread open, when the answer has been given before it even began.
