I don't like breathing in car exhaust fumes, i don't drive a car and never will regardless of how practical they are. They emit soot from their exhaust. As a cyclist i get covered in it cycling three or four hours a day on busy roads. A fine black powder coats my bike.
More likely from Diesel engines.

I tried to explain how vaping / vapour isn't necessarily something other people want to be breathing in, second hand vaping if you like. Some people don't like it. The same can be said for car exhaust fumes. Vapers don't see an issue with vapour but that shouldn't mean that they should behave in an ignorant way about a non vaper who may not like it. Vapers don't like breathing second hand smoke and probably feel the same way about it as smokers do about vapour. But vapers would argue that vapour is harmless and cigarette smoke isn't. That doesn't automatically mean that other people who smoke tobacco should like smelling and breathing in second hand vapour. If they don't like it then they don't like it. I don't like breathing in car exhaust fumes, i don't drive a car and never will regardless of how practical they are. They emit soot from their exhaust. As a cyclist i get covered in it cycling three or four hours a day on busy roads. A fine black powder coats my bike. I'm pretty sure most motorists are blissfully unaware that a whole load of soot comes out of their car's exhaust and that they too are breathing it in whenever they are outside. I don't want to be breathing in soot from car exhausts everytime i go outside in the same way i don't want to be breathing in tobacco smoke, second hand or other wise. So those who are as aware as i am would understand that a vaper should realise that the corona virus has had an effect on climate change (car pollution in this case) via the lockdown !. Committed motorists couldn't care less though and aren't ashamed to admit it. Yet for an unexplainable reason some of those same people prefer to vape rather than smoke. So they come on to this thread, in a vaping forum, and explain just how self contradictory they are without even realising it. And they don't care about what they breath in................... but they vape !?.
You have no grasp on reality. You're proving with each post that you are a lying troll. We know you don't drive a car because you're obviously not old enough.

I just reread your OP Evan and I didn't get from it what you wrote above at all. Your thread title also does not make it clear. Sometimes it's also better to be a bit shorter and to the point for the sake of clarity. Thanks for the clarification :)

I'm almost 63 and don't cycle much anymore, but I was an avid cyclist in my younger days. I always thought that film on my skin after doing 60 miles on a hot summer day was from road crud. Never noticed any fine black powder on my bike that wasn't road crud and I did a lot cycling through downtown Toronto, sometimes through the rush hour.

It would be nice if people were more aware of how what we do affects the environment, but it is what is. There are still a lot of people who just don't get it. OTOH, the only person I have control over is me and I do what I feel comfortable doing to minimize my environmental footprint. If someone is interested in talking about it I am happy to let them know how I feel about it.

If your goal is to help people become more aware of environmental issues you need to find a better approach. It must be obvious to you that what you're doing here isn't working. People tend to understand better when you use hard data instead of anecdotal evidence like the powder on your bike. You also can't push this stuff on people, human nature just doesn't work that way. Hard data and common sense in how you approach the topic so you don't alienate people wins every time :thumb:

Your post is stupid and provocative. Do you make similar posts or topics at car forum, claiming cars kills people or nature. Or gun forum for how bad guns are? I dont compare cars and guns with vaping. Just your point is so stupid and such a nonsense... I cant believe i am reading such a bull.... article here. Hate me or not, i dont care. Just post your .... somewhere else. Nobody here is that stupid to believe it, may be we that responded to it are stupid just.

So what do you think ?.

I think you should put the pipe down. Now.

If that were true i would have had absolutely nothing to say from the beginning, ever !. One thing i have learned is that junkies are probably the most boring people in society. They just stare at the wall. And definitely wouldn't have the inclination to type anything.

A real world scenario would be, for example, an independent vape shop goes out of business because their application that allows them to continue to trade (i forget what it's called but apparently costs a hell of a lot of money per mod or atomizer or juice flavour etc) was rejected by the pertinent government department because they run an iffy outfit. They don't want anyone to know this so they tell everyone it's because they couldn't afford the fees. That last part is the information that is understood to be the truth by most people, because most people would prefer that to be the truth. I don't need to provide proof that this is the case. But the thing about "that" is that no one bothers asking "these traders" to provide proof of why they went out of business, no you'd ask someone like me to prove what i'm saying instead. So you read stuff that says that vape shops are going out of business online but you don't chase them up and ask them to prove why. You just decide to believe it by default. There's no explanation for that either.

It's fascinating watching people behave this way. And reading it...... well it makes me sad !. The saddest part is that the point about not asking vendors for proof is the part of this post that will be ignored by the resident trolls whilst they continue on their childish quest and try to annoy.

So for me, instead of doing my absolute best to stay on topic, i end up turning my time here on ECF into a social study, but not by choice !.

    So carry on.

...Man made climate change is a hoax. Again facts matter and you don't have any facts.
No. It's not. More than enough reputable scientists have come to the conclusion, that our excessive abuse of fossil fuels changes our climate in dramatic ways.
Sure, there have always been natural ups and downs in temperature due to the fluctuating corona of the sun, slight changes in the Gulf Stream, volcano outbreaks and such, but the fact that carbon dioxide (and a few other industrial byproducts btw) have an impact on global warming is a known scientific fact for over 40 years now. And the overall rise of carbon dioxide levels is man made.
CO2 levels have increased by 50% compared to pre-industrial levels, and more than 30% compared to the highest levels ever measured 800.000 years ago.
The average temperature on earth has increased by 3°C since the beginning of industrialization, which doesn't sound much, but is still enough to melt the pole caps and cause hurricanes and tsunamis.

Not even your uneducated hillbilly-attitude can change the facts that even the industry knows of . But they just do everything to keep profits high through misinformation.
Big Oil must be right, eh?
    Just like Big Tobacco.
You swallow their lies, just like a fly joyfully munches on a big pile of manure.

Exxon Knew about Climate Change almost 40 years ago

A thread created with the intent to disrupt - seriously - you thought that would go over well ?

And then you attack people for their responses ?

...and some of the responses !

    Sigh...

This thread does NOT belong in General Vaping Discussion.
It would normally be an Outside thread but no point in moving it to the Outside as OP does not have permission to post there.
    so...
Closing this and moving it to The Lounge to get it out of General Vaping Discussion.
It will probably get moved (still closed) to the Outside later - or deleted.
