Started out on tanks, moved on to RTAs and then to RDAs and now I run three mechs with Mutation X V3s on each in my daily rotation and have no interest in looking any further.

I still have a couple Lemo 2s wicked up but haven't touched them in weeks.

I'm running two MX V1's right now. Great all around drippers :thumb:

I will always favor rebuildables...rda, rta, whatever. I just don't like paying for replacement coils (yes, I'm cheap). Frankly, if I can't rebuild it, I won't buy it (If you rebuild it, they will come).

That being said, I would rather have a rebuildable tank than a pure dripper, and I could live without dripping. I doubt that I will ever buy another dripper, but I'm glad I have them just in case of the apocalypse.
Honestly these new stm coils are lasting me awhile tho I don't vape too too much. Factory coils have better life than they used to. But yes rebuilding is cheaper and more rewarding. Sorta like changing your own oil. Even tho its like just the same price to pay someone to do it

You know its funny how much vaping has changed in the past 6 years.

When I first joined the forums, people were predicting that clearomizers were going to be extinct, mainly because they sucked and leaked like sieves.

Now people are saying carto tanks are going to be extinct......yet IB Tanked sells out of their pre-punched cartos all of the time.

I think vaping will move away from this cloud chasing and come full circle within the next year or two. Old tech will be revisited and improved and we'll see old/improved fads catch on again.

Much like the clearomizer tanks.

I also dont think that cloud chasing and vaping as a sport is anywhere close to most peoples definition of progress either.

Cloud chasing is to vaping as Hot Rodding is to driving.

Its not the future of vaping, its just an offshoot and to state otherwise is the height of arrogance.

@Froth,

That was absolutely poetic. You hit all the high points of why I keep picking up the drippers. The whole experience, and I never connected the dripping to say the relight, or the initial light, and the I`m taking a break attitude, but that`s what it is.

Luv me my two MX`s too. I got a mellow one @.3, and one that`s all business @ .38. LOL, funny how that works.

Some of us need those cloud setups not to smoke. Have you ever thought that vaping has taken off now because we now have so many more options?

I believe that bottom feeders combine the best of tanks and drippers. {convenience AND flavor} -Works for me, anyways. :)

I agree. If Rob made a high power regulated mod I would have one right now. Then again, not squonking all the time is nice sometimes too.

Youre actually talking to someone who's been here almost from the very beginning.

Do you know how many people were at the first ever Vapercon?

About 35

Vaping has grown exponentially every year since then and the last Vaperon I attended had over 3500 visitors.

Is some of that growth due to having a plethora of options available to us?

You betcha.

Its the other options Im defending here, like dripping, carto tanks, clearomizers, devices under 10 watts etc etc.

If you want to cloud chase, thats fine. Have at it.

Just dont discount the rest of us in the process by thinking that hobby/vaping and/or the latest fad is the future of, or the be all and end all of vaping.

Nobody said its the future of vaping, but it is a huge drawing to vaping, back when it was those ....ty clearomizers, i quit for a month and went straight back to smoking, now that i got a mech mod and an rda, and able to build to make these clouds, which is a bigger hit, flavor and nic, i have quit, the hobbying of it keeps me drawn to it, its something else to keep my mind occupied, the whole cloud chasing arrogance you speak of helped me stop. It might not be your cup of tea, but to most, its the best part.

Not to most......Have you looked around these forums at all? Plenty of tootle puffers and mod wompers here that could care less about clouds.

I understand that youre viewing things from your own perspective and its only natural to project that onto others.

But youre wrong in this instance.Cloud chasers DO NOT represent vaping, no matter how loud and flashy you are, you just represent a part of the whole.
