Not to most......Have you looked around these forums at all? Plenty of tootle puffers and mod wompers here that could care less about clouds.

I understand that youre viewing things from your own perspective and its only natural to project that onto others.

But youre wrong in this instance.
Well maybe not to most, but it has grabbed the most attention, social media wise, which is not even what im defending, just what i like personally, its not even really the clouds i chase, but the hit and warmth of the hit that comes with it is what i enjoy, but like everyone enjoys a different brand of cigs, cigars, beer, or liquor, to each his own

And how much of that attention has been negative?

There were very few vaping bans three years ago. Blu was even running a commercial about vaping anywhere at that time.

Now were starting to see bans in amusment parks, national parks, offices and government buildings...even apartments.

Whats changed since then? I think we all know the answer to that and I would hardly call that progress by any stretch of the word.

Youre actually talking to someone who's been here almost from the very beginning.

Do you know how many people were at the first ever Vapercon?

About 35

Vaping has grown exponentially every year since then and the last Vaperon I attended had over 3500 visitors.

Is some of that growth due to having a plethora of options available to us?

You betcha.

Its the other options Im defending here, like dripping, carto tanks, clearomizers, devices under 10 watts etc etc.

If you want to cloud chase, thats fine. Have at it.

Just dont discount the rest of us in the process by thinking that hobby/vaping and/or the latest fad is the future of, or the be all and end all of vaping.
I'm not discounting anybody. You are doing a good enough job at that yourself by saying vaping at high watts it's a fad.

What's changed are the tobacco, pharmaceutical and tax profits. The hit they are taking has made them scare the rest of the public through propaganda.

In a cloud

Nobody said its the future of vaping, but it is a huge drawing to vaping, back when it was those ....ty clearomizers, i quit for a month and went straight back to smoking, now that i got a mech mod and an rda, and able to build to make these clouds, which is a bigger hit, flavor and nic, i have quit, the hobbying of it keeps me drawn to it, its something else to keep my mind occupied, the whole cloud chasing arrogance you speak of helped me stop. It might not be your cup of tea, but to most, its the best part.
dude those ....ty clearos could be rebuilt too... with twisted kanthal and cotton...rebuilding those did it for me... the "clouds" i got from a vivi nova were bigger than my peers rda's at the time..with 24mg nic lol...they were like " how the hell? "

Lol at people equating RDAs to cloud chasing.
There's much more to them.

Every tank claims to be "just like an RDA" because they are the benchmark for performance that tanks aspire to achieve.

The only tanks I've found that can truely match a properly built RDA in performance is a properly built genesis.

Wait till they try their first RDA,
Will never go back to using tank imo.

They were getting the same hit 2 years ago.

How would you know?

Im not trying to be insulting but your join date is last year.

There were plenty of people vaping 2-3 years ago and millions of dollars changing hands. Just like there was millions of dollars changing hands in 2009. That hasnt changed at all.

Whats changed are the increasing numbers of inconsiderate vapers blowing clouds wherever they damn well please.

Its not all cloud chasers and its probably not you, buts its a case of the actions of a few giving us all bad name.

Again, I would hardly call that progress.

I have a handful of RDA's. I love my Velocity on my vaporflask squonk mod. I also love my STM's, my TVF4 and my Crown. Picked up a 30 mm TOBH last week and love that so much I bought a couple more 30 mm RDA's, but am not going to stop using any of my tanks because of it. People need to understand its all about preferences. Just because you only want to use RDA's does not mean anyone else has to share your preference. I am a die hard mod womper as well as a tootle puffer and there is many of us who not only enjoy RDA's but also use our tanks on a daily basis.

Seen atomizers that have more parts than a jet engine ...

RDA may not be every vaper's thing, but in case of vapegeddon simplicity rules ans RDA's are 'simple' enough that with a bit of ingenuity, one can handcraft them.
So they could ( and maybe already are ) the item of choice in places where dem dang autorities ain't seen the light yet (i.e. imposed an outright ban on all things vaping) :)
Heck if push comes to shove, I'd drip the stuff into my toaster n put a funnel over it - if they wanna ban that, then we might as well get rid of any and all hot food.

So RDA's aren't done for by a long shot...
