Nope, no plans for that since I have enough nic/gear to last me a couple of decades now. I could never quit smokes for good so I doubt I could quit vaping for good.

NO. vaping WORKS for me. There are certain brains that are drawn to stimulants like coffee and nicotine and need a hand-to-mouth stimulus - whether that's smoking or food or whatever else. We all self-medicate in different ways.

I do not have ADD, but the people I know who have been dx are very much dependent on stimulants to provide focus ... it would be interesting to know if there was a higher than average population of ADD folk here on the boards ...

I resemble a lot of those remarks.

No, I can't imagine not vaping or even not continuously vaping - thus, my stockpile. Then again, I never thought it would be possible for me to quit smoking. My goal is to get down to 6mg/nic over the next few months with the ultimate goal of 3mg. Beyond that, and barring any serious risk to my health, I'm perfectly content to keep vaping .....

I did the jump from 6 to 3 before I began DIY and I didn't notice any difference other than vaping a bit more volume. I recently cut my DIY from 3 to 2 but still have some 3mg pre-made and DIY juice to vape away before I am fully at 2mg. I will stay at 2mg for the foreseeable future but wouldn't count out going down to 1.5 or 1 just to help make the nic stash last longer. If you DIY already the steps down should be much easier as you can just do it 1mg at a time, each time you make a new batch.

I never started vaping to get off cigs, after 37 years of smoking i just bought an ecig.I went into a smoke shop to buy my tobacco and there was a guy vaping. After talking to him out of curiosity walked out with a Nautilus and no tobacco. In 37 years i never even thought of quitting but since that day 7 months ago i have not even thought of smoking, weird!I have no plans at all to quit vaping but i had no plans to quit smoking either!

My first vape was an eGo starter kit, but pretty much the same story here. Took me about 2 weeks to get something that would last all day, but after I did, my last pack of cigarettes went in the trash. This November, it will be 4 years, and I haven't had a cigarette (or the urge to smoke one) since. I tell people that I quit smoking "accidentally"

Hey all

I think everyone here started using e cigs to ween youself off cigs, my question however is how many people see vaping as the final stop? How many people intend to try and quit vaping?

I am still on the fence with this one, but ultimately I do think at somepoint I would want to get off all products.

So what do you think?

An ex-pipe smoker, I didn't start vaping in order to quit smoking, but it ended up that way nonetheless and in truth I'm better off as a result. Since there is zero "credible" evidence that would indicate vaping is any worse than drinking municipal water or breathing city air, why would I want to quit doing something that I find enjoyable and satisfying? I fully intend to continue vaping for as long as -I- enjoy doing so, no plans, thoughts or desires to do otherwise. Even stockpiled enough supplies to last the duration completely derailing any grand extortion scheme$ our deceitful, lying and corrupt government may have had in mind. I'll continue vaping until it's no longer enjoyable, something even better comes along, or -I- decide otherwise.

I started vaping out of curiosity with no intention of stopping smoking. It was purely by accident that I did, I just preferred vaping over smoking.

Discovered that not using nicotine was a bad idea for me as I ended up smoking again.

Vaping with nicotine is the only way I can stay off of the cigs so I have no plans to ever stop either (vaping, or nicotine).

Bad opening premise. Many never smoked cigs. I smoked cigars and pipes, never cigs. Still do, on occasion. I started vaping because I wanted a similar experience indoors in the heart of winter (I liked to smoke while writing; now I vape). It became a hobby that surpassed my enjoyment of cigars.

I won't say I will continue forever. But I have no plans to stop. If research reveals serious health concerns, or if I simply stop enjoying it, I'll stop.

so I started vaping 4 years ago to quit smoking,,it worked better and easier than I ever thought possible,,,,,,

I had no intentions of quitting,,,,,,,got down to 0 nic and was perfectly happy there,,,,,,

then life happened, and slowly,,,,,,,,,s l o w l y,,,,,,it just kind of,,,,,,,,,,,happened,,,,,,,,

I was vape free for about a year,,,,,,,,,then WHAM,,,,,,,,,massive cravings for cigarettes,,,,,don't know why, it didn't seem like a particularly stressful time or anything,,,,,,,

but in the past, I've gone up to 5 years without smoking and gone back to SMOKING,,,,,

Not happening this time,,,,,,when those cravings hit, I whipped out the old Provari, charged up the batteries and made myself some 0 nic juice,,,,,

After searching around for a new tank (the kind I used wasn't as readily available locally as it had been a year before), I am now happily vaping my 0 nic juice and enjoying every second of it,,,,,,,,

will I quit again? I don't know,,,,,,,,,if it does, it does,,,,,,,,but I will keep my trusty Provari around just in case,,,,,,and if that craving hits again,,,,,,,,well, it's nice to know I don't have to go back to cigarettes or suffer through the agonies of the damned fighting the cravings.

Just had this discussion at work with a co-worker who vapes. I, myself have no plans on quitting vaping. I enjoy it. Coming up on 4 yrs in Dec. that I quit cigs. My co-worker said he plans on quitting vaping. He likes vaping, but wants to be totally free from habits, to be more health conscious all the way around.

Ultimately what it really comes down to to me is the novelty factor, it's what keeps me vaping.

And this may sound a little strange but for me vaping is smoking and i never intended to give up smoking simply because i didn't want to.

For those who fail to quit smoking via the vaping route i'd say to them that the mistake they are making is quitting the wrong thing. When they decided they wanted to quit smoking they chose vaping to do it but when it came down to it they wound up quitting vaping and went back to smoking. The idea, from my point of view, is to see vaping as smoking and never give it up. Maybe see vaping as being the problem habit that cannot be broken.

Fail to quit vaping by quitting smoking. Rather than the other way round.

Likewise, Evan. Although I do maintain that it's NOT smoking, but a smoking replacement that so far is show to be at least 95% less harmful. I'm fine with that!
