I'm not talking about residual aftertaste, I'm talking about melding and mixing flavors on purpose.

Right now I'm combining Vixen Vapors hazlenut tobacco in 36mg with BWB Casablanca in 6mg and it is hitting the spot.

I bought 0mg nic cherry and peach to add as a flavoring to tobaccos when I want something fruity.

Am I crazy or do other people enjoy making "recipes"?

Your not crazy at all. Making your own juices is alot of fun and really gives you control.

If you want you can even take it a step further. Buy a bottle of nicotine, a bottle of PG and VG, and then buy a whole bunch of flavorings and then you can really start getting creative. Get a few syringes and some empty bottles and youve got everything you need to make your own juice. You can download a juice calculator and that will give you all the ratios. Its alot of fun and is a whole lot cheaper. I make a 30ml juice at 17mg nic strength, 85%/15% PG/VG for only a few bucks

I've been vaping for a month. I only had one that I didn't mix my self. My "whole" apartment is stacked with essences and empty bottles screaming to be labeled now..and the orders still keep coming...I need to hold my horses now, but it's such a fun ride :)
As long as your house doesn't look like a crack house like this place do now, I'd say are quite normal :)

I agree, DIY is cheaper than spending money on ready made juice. You can pick up PG and VG pretty cheaply then the small flavors are around $1.50, if you don't like something you are not out much. I mix 3-4 ml to try, so not too bad. I LOVE DIY!! ha ha bnrk

I can see where your coming from trust me but for $2 I can make 30ml and that includes the cost of the bottle. Can't beat that :)

I had ordered some DIY bottles, I thought I was ordering 5, I ordered 50! ha ha But they are being filled as I go, so I get that screaming to be filled. bnrk

Yeah, that pitch lured me in too. Over a $ grand later I now have a 'lab' room in my house, flavors, syringes, cylinders and nic, oh my. I've hit a few winners but still buying commercial too. If you want a fun hobby, DIY is a hoot :) Saving money? Heck no. Unless.... you're a one or two flavor type, have the recipe and want to mix on the cheap and don't get carried away buying flavors. You could save that way.

MIL is coming for Thanksgiving. I've got to clear out the 'lab' and turn it back into the guest room - stat!

I mix premade juices. When I vaped a strong tobacco juice I would also carry 2 flavoring juices - each day I would grab whichever 2 I felt like out of 2 vanillas, cocoa, chocolate, or a sweet caramel RY4. Those are all similar to flavorings in real cigarettes and it kept the vape interesting. And mixing them into my tobacco cart got me to the point where I could vape non-tobacco flavors alone and be satisfied.

Now I often mix 2 new vanillas in a carto - a sharply sweet one and one with caramel and rum to make a really satisfying combination. I mix fruits and berries in one cartomizer. I also mix juices to fix them - like mix sweet vanilla into a medicinal overdone fruit flavor, but I do that in a bottle.

Actually in most cases DIY is much better so you are not missing out :) Hope your flavors arrive soon! bnrk

Thanks bnrk. I just checked tracker...gonna be here this afternoon :rickroll: Can't wait to try some:)

Oh, and when I first started vaping, I spent around $50 on DIY stuff, pipettes, syringes, nic, flavors, and after a month I still have enough for at least two more. Not the best flavors, all are from supermarket (and I made sure they are not oil or sugar based) but they do the job of keeping me off analogs, don't taste bad, and cost under $2 for 30ml.
