im glad nobody got in a huff about this topic. i was afraid that some people might take it the wrong way and think that i was saying that we all should quit vaping at some point. i have nothing against vaping forever and as a poster above said, i too will continue to support vaping if i do eventually quit. it has been a godsend for me.

Maybe someday. To be honest, I'm wondering when (or if) I'm going to hit the "break even" point.

Then again, I also went from generic cigs to premium ejuice, and have steadily been upgrading gear.

I'm largely down to 12mg, and in the eves sometimes drop down to 6mg. I was actually thinking about this very topic earlier today.

I just like vaping. So, it's prob not going to happen soon.

Yes indeed, my whole goal of getting into e-cigs was to eventually be nicotine-free.

I knew many years ago that I wanted to quit smoking, but ended up with many failed attempts. About 5 years ago I quit smoking for good, but I could never get off of nicotine. Gum, patches, lozenges, snus, whatever fit the occasion. I switched to vaping in October with DIY juice, and have gone 24mg-18mg-12mg-10mg-8mg-6mg-5mg, and the bottle I make tomorrow will be 4mg.

When off the nicotine in March I may keep one or two setups for occasional 0mg fun, but the other dozen or so will be donations to my smoker friends.

Having moved from smokeless to vaping, I have felt a definite impact on my lungs and have been frequently out of breath. Can't wait to get rid of that feeling.

One thing I have learned over the years is that things happen by themselves. I don't have any fixed plans to quit vaping but will reduce nic levels as time goes by and maybe that will lead me to stop vaping altogether. I don't know and I'm not not gonna dwell on that and certainly not worry about it.

One thing is for sure.. long term smoking of cigarettes is unsustainable--it will get you one way or the other.

Not a bad question. Even if I get to the point where I'm at 0nic, I will probably continue to vape. I do not know how to do nothing. I cannot just sit and relax. For over 30 years I've relaxed with a cig and now an ecig for over a year. I just don't know how to sit with my hands in my lap doing Nothing.

But then I thought I would never be able to give up smoking. I'm learning to never say never ;)

5 days hard VAPOR, no anologues. I want too be him in one ;years time! I really like the fruit flavours at 0 mg NIC.

If my work allowed vaping, I might try to cut back my nic levels to zero. Since they don't allow vaping anywhere on the property and don't allow you to leave when on break, I'm forced to use snus. If I cut the nic levels in my vape, the sunus at work just brings my levels back up, and I have to start over. It's an endless cycle, so I just keep my nic levels the same and blame company policy for my inability to quit nicotine.

Repeating what most have said. I don't know. My initial plan was to quit eventually, but I really enjoy vaping! I do want to cut down on the nic. I'm at 16mg now. Maybe to zero and then quit; maybe just to around a level of 6 and keep vaping. Honestly, only time will tell. I don't think I will tire of vaping, but I might. I'm definitely spending more money than I was before. I rolled my own smokes. (tubes and pipe tobacco- ~$25/month)

For now, I am just happy to be off the smelly smokes!

2 months ago, when I started vaping, it was to quit smoking cigarettes. Currently I'm down to 2-4 analogs at night and 6mg vaping during the day.

I wanted to quite smoking cigarettes for health reasons, as well as to save money. However, I have spent quite a bit on equipment and juices in the last 2 months!

After I quit analogs, my intention was to also quite nicotine. Not sure now...
I've been a smoker for 15 years and don't remember what I did to relax before smoking/vaping. Also, I chain smoke analogs when I drink alcohol, so I won't give up vaping if I can find a good vape substitute.

Depends on the situation. I used ecigs to successfully quit analogs. But the vaping has become a bit of a hobby. I saved 150 bucks a week after quitting but even my vape budget is barely half of that so I'm not worried about the cost. I make a few orders a month that don't break the bank. I've even gotten into RDA's without going overboard.

You can always get 0nic juice and still enjoy the expirience of vaping.

I smoked for over 40 years and to be honest, I enjoyed it up to about 6 months ago. I started vaping 4 years ago when I had surgery and couldn't smoke at hospital or when I got home. I continued to vape on what was at the time good e cigs and never ventured out to see what was new. The whole time I kept smoking. Vape at work, smoke all other times. My wife and I have been together over 20 years and never gave me a bad time. She encouraged me to quit but understood it was difficult to quit cold turkey.

Once I got some new mods and good toppers I gave up the analogs for good and haven't looked back. Funny thing though, now my wife is constantly asking me when I'm going to quit the e cigs. I've taken more grief over e cigs than I ever did with cigarettes. I keep telling her she should be happy I'm off the analogs. Do I want to quit the e cigs. Heck no! I enjoy vaping, reading this forum and learning so much on different mods, coil building, everything to do about e cigs. I have cut my nicotine level in half and may cut down even further but I have no intention at this point do quitting. I like it! Oh, and I like the fact that I can vape in the house, the car, at work and stealth vape on planes and trains and especially those 16 hour flights to Asia.
