Might just toss these cylindrical purple lies.

The HE2 is still an excellent batt. It's just a 20 amp one. - I have one of those efest 2500s in my stuff. It doesn't bug me to use it knowing what it is and isn't capable of. In fact, one of the overlooked specs is self-discharge... how fast a batt will discharge just sitting around unused. The HE2 is among the slowest self-discharge on the market in the 18650 size. That found it a home in my backpack as a backup for flashlights or my REO. I can just leave it for several months without worrying how much it will be drained if and when I need it.

So, I'm not encouraging you to dispose of your efests. Just be aware of what they can and can't do.

I was being facetious, but, nonetheless, I couldn't agree more. I haven't been on the forums for a while. A quick Google search revealed that this bit of false advertising caused quite a stir in the community. Again, thanks for the heads up. Wish I would've been there for the initial discovery. Just bought a few more VTC4's to cover the disconnect.

Yeah I see a lot of misinformation coming from vape shops especially. We all just want everyone safe and having a great vape.

If you're losing flavor with dual coils you probably have too much air flow. I'm not sure if the RM4 uses an AFC, but if so, try minimizing. If not, you could always buy some of that auto-repair cement to fill in the hole. Might look like hell but it would be functional. Better than letting it gather dust, if you ask me.

I started running dual coils over a year ago and I can't go back to singles. My current set up on my Tugboat V2 is a basic dual 5/6 wrap using 22G Nuke wire by Chadster, 3/32" ID. Meters in around 0.14Ω. My Mutation X is currently dual parallels, 5/6 wrap 24G Boom wire by Chaster, 7/64" ID, meters in around 0.10Ω.

By no means am I suggesting you try these builds. I'm just pointing out that I (read: exclusively) prefer dual coils over single coils.

Appreciate the info but, I've tried dual coils in a number of setups including kayfun and aga t5(pita in that one). Both have flow control and it really doesn't get more direct air over coil than those. I like the TH of duals just lose taste. Miss the subtleties IMHO....

I thought I read somewhere in just the recent past that Efest ran out of production batteries and released "1" batch of batteries that they bought excess from LG and is why the unwrapped battery originally showed an HE2. That was early on though. I think they are back to making their own batteries now, but I think the jury is still out as to if they are actually 35amp though...

This is good to know. Would love an update on the verdict. They haven't even gotten warm running against my 0.10Ω, but that could just be raw luck. Again, even with my 0.14Ω builds, my draws are only a second or so.

Edit: Here's some in-depth test results. Performed some time in 2014.

Efest doesn't manufacture any cells. They buy cells and put a wrapper on them. There are a lot of companies that do the same thing. As a well known example: AW happens to be one of those... however, AW doesn't lie about what's in the wrapper. In fact, I'll take an AW over straight from panasonic any day. AW gets to cherry pick premium batches and then on top of that he tests each cell he wraps.

Not sure but will keep an eye out... You might also check out the LG HE4. They are a 35 amp battery also. I would trust their numbers more than Efest...

EDIT: I should have multi-quoted... did not... therefore the edit

That's also a 20 amp batt. The data sheet says max discharge 20,000 mah.

I tried dual coils today at a vape shop. The dude actually let me sit there for awhile vaping it. I eventually got the hang of lung to lung. However, it was 6mg, and it really felt like an empty vape. The flavor was there, but something was off about a .02 second inhale; exhale.

My RM2 puts out a lot of vapor, and the dude was surprised it was a single coil. I'm just a mouth to lung guy, and a single coil RM2 puts out plenty flavor; TH, and vapor to keep me happy. :thumb:
