I don't believe I'll have to make that decision. I believe Jesus is going to come before that is even an option for regular people like you and me.

you do realize there is a big difference between lab mice, in a controlled environment, an humans, Right? If a scientist could find a way to regenerate your kidneys, instead of being on dialysis, or having a transplant, you wouldn't do it? All modern accepted medical treatments, and medications have been been through this. Where is the cut off point? Is medication ok? some of them alter your body too...surgery? most definitely alters your body...radiation treatments for cancer? alters the dna of cells....one could say transplants are surgeons acting as god.

When will you say no? If one of your loved ones are dieing slowly, and it could be prevented, what would you do? Where is your cut off point?

No one is arguing any of this... everyone wants to see the sick made well and people live longer more healthy lives. (I could tell you right now however that there ARE many cures for many diseases right now that can't be used because of the forces that be that won't allow it. The entire Medical establishment would collapse overnight if the truth were known and their greedy motives exposed.. again, another subject for another time).

Here's how 'I' see this whole discussion in the final analysis anyway. Not one of us can change the years God has a lotted to us, period. If a person died twenty years ago for a disease we currently have a cure for they'd still be dead because it was their appointed time to die. If people live 100 years longer now it's because God has 'allowed' us to through Science or whatever avenue He deems fit and for His purposes. Perhaps He's allowed these Scientists to discover methods for extending longevity because He desires people to live longer so more Souls can be won for the Kingdom......... (now there's a positive thought!.. lol)... We're just saying, consider the 'possibility' that this technology to extend life MAY be used for EVIL purposes also... that's all. (Operative word was may... lol)

And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, (this INFERS a second time!) and eat, and live for ever:

Why do you think the Devil chose to omit the whole truth to Eve? According to scripture, if Adam and Eve would have ate TWICE from that Tree... they would have lived forever. Funny how Satan conveniently left that even more enticing little tidbit out. Unfortunately our then eternal lives would have been 'under' the death sentence of SIN and eternal separation from God, but most people don't seem to care to hear about the 'negative' consequences of truth... just the appealing parts. The ones that only last for a 'season'......

Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

God sometimes has to do things to 'protect us from ourselves' if nothing else ....

PS - * I do believe the tree of Life and the tree of knowledge were two separate trees, but the point I'm making is still the same. Satan always uses a pound of lies with a grain of truth to them. (I'm tired... it was a long trip back from OHIO... lol)

The only key to eternal life is salvation through Jesus. Satan just can't stand it! He will trick humans into thinking that they can live forever without Jesus. But it won't work!!!!!!!

Do you think God will allow this? I don't think so, the end is going to happen before they are able to do this in humans. They are working on it, which means the end is near!

Yes, I think God will allow it... but I'm wondering what the physical repercussions will be. I believe God's plan is for us to understand that we can walk in health because of the "stripes" of Christ. This is something less than that. Any time a counterfeit (for lack of a better word) is presented, there is some side effect. I'm not saying it's wrong or "evil". I'm not implying any shoulds or shouldn'ts.... I'm saying that something less is just that... less than God's desire for us. No guilt... just not perfect.

We replace hearts now.... but the person has to take anti-rejection meds for the rest of their life. Anti-rejection meds are simply meds that cause the immune system to stop attacking the foreign organ in the body. The side effects are potential exposure to other autoimmune diseases and the immune system's inability to fight off simple diseases that it was originally designed for. It's better than succumbing to heart failure... but what are the trade-offs?? Even aspirin has side effects.

I'm not sure if I think there is any relation to this and the coming of Christ... but it's interesting. If I remember correctly, scripture doesn't say that Christ will come because we've insulted God or because humanity is "playing God". (However, it's possible that it's evidence that the time is near.) I think it says that his second coming is really an act of his mercy. I believe it tells us that he comes because, if he didn't, mankind would destroy itself.

I see scientists like steven hawking, people practically worship him because he's so smart and he has all the answers, but he denies God. What a laugh that is..........how can somebody be smart and deny God? It's not even possible.

My father is a scientist, if he can't see it then he doesn't believe it. Sad really........they claim to know so much but miss the most important thing, and the only thing that really matters in the end. GOD.

But one day HE will come, and they will all know. They will all know how foolish they were to deny HIS existence, while they were too busy trying to figure out what a black hole is.

They will know.............it will be too late.
