Can someone help me figure out how to make a doc file (microsoft word 2003) into a pdf file?
Gona PM u now.. in case rorscach has already gone to bed. Maybe you are still up.If rorschah take too long to answer you, I will do it for you also. PM
If you have Microsoft 2003. Get your doc file in MS, SAVE AS pdf Should do it
Wait a minute, won't work that way. GO TO:Convert MS Word (doc) files to Adobe Acrobat files (pdf) for free. No login required.
About 1/2 way down this page, browse to your file, open, will convert "free"

Spikey is your computer saying not enough virtual memory? If that's what it's telling you that's different than RAM. Also you might want to check and see what processes are running in the background (right click on the taskbar and click on task manager, processes tab - most likely you have some that you can stop from running on start up. If you need help with this let me knowI can't put any new software in this comp til I increase my 1 G of RAM. It has been freezing up and saying not enough RAM. I ordered it but it isn't here yet.. so I can't put anything new on or this comp will blow up! Sent Rorschach a PM... hopefully he can do it for me and send it back to me.
I just tried it, it goes into pdf window and you hit the save button on the top where it looks like a disk??Gona PM u now.. in case rorscach has already gone to bed. Maybe you are still up.
This converts but then will not let me save as a PDF![]()

Save file. it should be a .pdf if you can see it. (I used a .doc file, worked just fine) Try it again, I think it worked for you, was so fast maybe you missed it coming into new window.
You still here?
The new window came up twice but I couldn't figure how to save it, Then the third time I did it,, the adobe window came up but stayed empty (computer overload). I think truckdrivingmouse is doin it for me now.. will see if it worksThanks so much!
I'll be up for a bit longer and can help if you if others have gone to bed.

OK, up along the top, there is a row of tools, the first is a printer, the second is a "disk"....hit that button, it should open up back in your "documents" and tell it to save.I could've sworn my MS Word saved to .pdf, but guess it doesn't anymore.
There are ADD-INS for msword you can download (go to Help, but not sure if you have to pay for them or if they're free). We generally use Corel Word Perfect Office for word processing.
thanks rheo! I think TDM is working on it now.. but if it doesn't work I will let you know asap!
Maly.. my comp is SO F*ed right now. HD is 98% full. Only have 1G RAM and only a 232GB HD but have THREE 1TB HD's running off USBs lol! So it is like a corvette with a gremlin engine![]()
But it is still kicking and I spent so much on the external drives I can't get a new comp. I shoulda ju7st got a bay and some internals. Oh well.. maybe just gotta upgrade it a bit.
