Me either. That's strange. As far as the starter...you live & you learn. I remember searching for a vape shop before placing an order online for my starter. Right after ordering I found a vape shop about 20mins away. When I walked in & saw the price of the same kind of kit I'd ordered but for double the price I was in  my kit even had 2 batts & i think there's only had 1. I still buy juice there from time to time but I stick to buying my gear online.

I bought my starter ego at a local. Am happy with it although I know I could have gotten it cheaper online. Juice cost 4x as online also. Guaranteed my battery only if I buy a certain amount of juice per month. Is this common?

It sounds like they are borrowing a page from the ripoff places that offer a "lifetime guarantee" on some of the cheapest cigalike batteries going - but that guarantee comes with you signing up for overpriced, ripoff cartridges or cartos through a monthly subscription service.

Hey, it got you started and it got you here. It's hard to argue whatever you may have paid wasn't worth it.

Sounds reasonable - sort of. They don't have a real "guarantee" program - they're just covering their cost, figuring if they have to replace your battery, they've still made money on your juice purchases.

It doesn't change the fact that you can find better value online. Unless their juice is your FAVORITE, or they're providing some other valuable service (teaching you stuff about your next step vaping), then you should probably spend some time reading here, shopping around, and try some stuff from vendors you see recommended here!

In just over five weeks since starting vaping - I've been to 3 different B&M shops. Prices in all three were fairly comparable to online - except one had a 50% off Boxing Day sale on e-liquid and we stocked up with six 30ml bottles (2 different flavs). One of our local B&M shops is somewhat sketchy - several of their e-liquid brands look as though the labels were printed on an old dot-matrix printer and I'm a bit wary of their quality control.

Haven't heard about a battery guarantee reliant on liquid purchases at any of them, though. Not sure if that's a good idea or bad one. I'm not big on extended warranty offers - this sounds like a variation on that.

Would you happen to be referring to the Vapor Depot?

Local stores are what they are. The expenses of a B&M store (rent, employees, etc..) make them have to up their prices. The thing they should give you is good customer service in return. The ones that don't are the ones that will fail. If someone only guarantees a product in return for another purchase then run away quickly. They should be able to to do warranty service with the original manufacturer on their own.
