Yes, I do miss the convenience of smoking. I never changed brands in all those decades of smoking. When I ran out, I could always find a place that sold cigarettes within a few minutes of where I was. I am even old enough to remember vending machines which were all over the place and always open. A pack of smokes was easy to carry around.
Now, I am constantly fiddling with new DIY juices and RBA's. Not to mention the number of mods I have! I am weighed down by all the stuff I carry around with me-juices, spare vaporizers, batteries, chargers. Storage for all of my paraphernalia is getting to be a real problem: flavors, mixing equipment, nic, tools. I have a pretty nice workshop in my basement, but that is too inconvenient. Fortunately, I found a very nice semi-antique chest with small drawers to store everything. If my lovely and wonderful wife were still alive, her tolerance levels and patience would have been severely tested every time I took over the kitchen to play mad scientist. It was not the smoking that killed her. She was a heavy smoker, but one day had the strength to quit on the spot.
I do miss the wheezing and shortness of breath when walking 18 holes of golf. I miss my friends backing away from me when I came back in from freezing my .... off to run outside in the dead of a Michigan winter to take a few drags. I miss women shying away from me because of my smoking even though I am handsome, fit, charming, articulate, erudite, talented, and interesting. I miss my house smelling like stale ash tray.
Boy, I really do miss smoking!
