Does anyone sell a padded Vamo sleeve - not a wrap.

Does anyone offer a slip on leather or fabric tube that could offer some padding. Not a wrap, but a sleeve with a cut-out for controls that would make the Vamo more comfortable to hold and also cushion drops. I haven't dropped mine (yet), but have found several instances.

A10-speed bicycle inner tube will work. You'd have to cut your own "windows". With one inner tube, you'd have enough material to make enough mistakes to learn to get it right. You have to account for the stretch.

Other than damages caused by dropping, haven't heard a bunch of complaints on Vamos. Given their cost and features, I'll chance it. Couldn't be better after a month.

Some people have made wraps for their mods from cushioned motorcycle handle grips. Maybe not the most attractive option but they do offer more cushioning than a wrap.

Never dropped mine, but a padded sleeve would be more comfortable to use.

One idea I have been having but not tried yet is to get large heat shrink tubing to create a skin tight fit. The rubber would give good grip and protect the vamo finish at the same tine.

It would be easy to replace if it gets damaged as well.

Just an idea might try it this weekend if I can find the correct size tube.

I just picked up a $2 eyeglass case at Dollar General that is lightly padded with foam. It works perfectly for my Vamo.

I've found that exact model at several local places such as Ace Hardware, Lowe's, Home Depot, and Cabela's...it would be ok if it wasnt that the bottom is open. Even though it's fairly snug, I'd be too paranoid that my Vamo would slide out the bottom of it.

This sounds like it might be a good idea. Is this something you can find at Lowe's? I have been trying everything in the world to keep fingerprints off my Vamo and a thin clear tubing sounds like a good idea.

I'm pretty dumb about the tubing... Is that something that you can find at Lowe's or some hardware type store? I've been trying to find something that will keep fingerprints off my black chrome Vamo and if I could find some thin clear tubing, that might be just the thing that I'm looking for. No fingerprints or scratches and a better grip.

Black Canvas - If you don't need the padding from a vinyl tube you can purchase clear vinyl wraps from either J-Wraps or Vapor Skinz.

Thanks peraspera, I looked at the j-wraps and from looking at it, it seems like it only covers the Vamo in short mode. Could be just my eyes though. I appreciate the help and will check them out more.
