Does anyone worry about artificial flavors in e-juice?

I have been wrestling with this a bit. I know there are bazillion chemicals in cigarettes and when you burn those chemicals and inhale the smoke I am sure it makes it even worse.

But I have been looking at all these different flavors and wondering? Aren't these all artificial chemicals too? It there somewhere to order natural flavors?

Your thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

You are on the right track.
I quit several times using patches, pills and lozenges but could not stay quit, stress and frustration would build up and the next thing I know I was right back smoking again.

Thanks to vaping and the great people on this forum I've been "smoke free" for almost a month without ANY desire to regress!

I'm not too worried about the artificial ingrediants, only problem I have is it seems dark liquids clog up my carto's faster...

Natural is a funny thing. Nicotine natually occurs in many plants and is in higher concentrations in the nightshade family. Tobacco being the greatest.

But flavors. Many naturally occuring flavor compounds have fairly large molecular structures which are extremely hard on attys. But natural flavors can be used. The selection of suitable ones for vaping would be fairly small.

Tobacco Absolute diluted down with some PGA or PG. It is the natural flavorings extracted right from the tobacco leaf. Might be hard on an atty, but it has been working fine on mine.

Vanillin would be compatable with an atty.

Those are the two natual flavors I can come up with off the top of my head that should work with an atty. Most fruit extracts would make a mess of an atty.

I imagine there are others out there.
(To answer the question, no. I worried about the flavorings in cigs so smoked American Spirits, but am not really worried about the flavorings in the juice yet.)

Fast answer: no.
Longer answer: No. (lol) Ok well I dont worry about it because of the vast of chemicals in everything we consume. Drinks, prepacked foods, vegetables (on them rather than in), you name it people add stuff to it. Growing your own would be the only way I could say for sure my food didn't contain any addidtives and Id also need my own well for water. I'm sure we don't know the long term effects of some of them but its not a huge concern, I avoid some where possible - I worry more about car emissions and tbh i dont really worry too hard over those either :D

Personally - yes. I suspect that if long-term health problems are discovered in e-cigs, it will be down to the flavourings and/or colourings. It's one thing to eat something, the digestive system is pretty hardcore; lungs however are a different story.

This is probably the correct answer.
Inhaling vaporized flavorings should probably be the main concern for us.

Not saying it's an issue, just that we really don't know squat about it.

Compared to the amount of chemicals in analogs, e-liquid is nothing. There has not been enough time passed since e-cigs have been out for any study to have been published about any harm that e-cigs or e-liquid can or might do. I guess time will tell.
