Unfortunately, at this time all mass produced ecig hardware is consumable. With the exception of a few 306 attys, I've had really good luck with both atomizers and cartomizers. I've been using ce2 clearomizers for pretty close to a year now. I've bought maybe 4-6 5 packs of them in that time and most of them still work. I do clean them and use lighter liquids so that might help but I'm always surprised when I see people saying they are getting 5 days out of a carto and bragging about it lol.

The industry is rapidly evolving however, in just the 2+ years I've been vaping the products available have more than quadrupled and they continue to improve. I think it's only a matter of time before someone comes up with something that lasts.

Look at it this way, cigarettes were disposable too lol

Cartomizers are made to be disposible, and thats why their cheap. If you compare it to cigs, your def getting your moneys worth. A 5-pack of cartos is about the same price as a pack of cigs. If you can get one week out of a single carto, then that means a 5-pack will last over a month. If you smoked a pack-a-day of cigs, then you paid the price of a 5-pack of cartos EVERYDAY, compared to every MONTH when you vape.
You can clean cartos, but personally I think its not worth the hassle at all. I get on avg 1-3 weeks from one carto so Im hands down getting my moneys worth. And most cartos dont work as well after theyve been cleaned, so to me its just not worth it.
Using a carto tank generally makes the cartos last even longer.

Bottom-feeder mods, when squonked properly, also keep cartos moist so they last longer. I seem to get 8-10 times the amount of e-liquid through a carto on a bottom-feeder, as opposed to a carto on a eGo-T 1100 mAh fat-batt.

Some bottom-feeders, like the Old Goat mod, are quite inexpensive.
