Does heat and humidity affect vape quality?

It seems that since it has started to warm up in TX while working outside my vape quality goes down. Using Vamo v5 with protank 2 hazlenut juice from mt. baker. When I say quality goes down I notice I'm not getting the amount of vapor, taste isn't as good and sometimes get burnt taste and other times get flooding. If I go back to the cool AC a wait awhile the vape quality goes back to normal. What can I do to keep vaping while working in the heat? and does humidity have anything to do with my issues? I haven't been paying attention if I'm having problems on days when the humidity is high or not.

The protank 2 relies on a vacuum to keep the juice flowing properly. In extreme hot or cold the seals can expand and contract which will effect the vacuum.. flow of juice will also be wonky.

Juice itself can thin in heat and thicken slightly in cold...

Have you thought about dripping at work? Could be slightly messy and not as "convenient" but how easy is it to fumble with a tank every time you notice it's not working right?

I have a couple of RDAs at home but cant' use them at work, to inconvenient. I have to be outside about half the day and that's when trouble starts. I can't vape indoors at work but going outside for a couple of minutes everything is ok. It's just when I'm out there for several hours that quality is not good. I have a fogger v4 on the way, will this work better than the protank?

I was driving to work yesterday and had my. Provari and Kayfun sitting on the door handle in my truck. The sun was shingling directly on it while I was stuck in stop and go traffic. When I went to pick up the mod, it was warm to the touch from being in the sun. My Kayfun was starting to flood. I think the heat made the viscosity of the eqliuid more watery and the pressure from the vacuum forced more liquid into the chamber and flooded it. After I vaped through the flood and I moved the mod to the center console, the problem went away.

I live in the Bay area, where the daily weather cycle has extreme changes in temperature, humidity, and pressure. There are some days where it reaches 80F in the day and dips into the 40's late at night. I enjoy vaping at night more than in the day, and I get the richest vapor when I wake up at 5am and open the bedroom windows. I don't understand the science and physics of it.

Yup. If I even leave my "leak resistant" Aspire BDCs in the car in the heat too long they will leak all over the place.

I live in Thailand and it gets very hot here. I started noticing the same problem and discovered how to correct it. The problem seems to be pressure related. Best I can determine, because tanks work under pressure they can be affected by rapid changes in pressure, such as when a storm rolls in or when it gets very hot. It affects all of my tanks accept the Aqua. The Kayfuns are affected more so than others.

The solution? Open the top cap and close it again. This causes the pressure in the tank to equalize with the outside pressure. With some tanks, like Kayfuns, you may get some flooding but that is easily cleared and you are back to vaping normal again. When the temperature cools down you may have to do it again. If left over night, the tanks will slowly equalize on their own.

With my Kanger Aerotank I did not loose flavor or vape. But it started gurgling. I removed the drip tip and could hear the air rushing in. The gurgling stopped, but flavor and vape went away. About 10 vapes later the tank was performing normally. My gues is it needs to build up pressure to work properly.

I keep my devices upside down when I leave them in my vehicle. It takes the juice away from the coil and allows pressure changes to escape without flooding the coil. I also keep them upside down in my pocket when I'm not in an air conditioned room.

Since starting that method, I've not had any issues with off taste or flooding...

Yes. Both heat and humidity affect vapor quality but the type of atomizer and the juice you use is essential to the issue. I use carto tanks so humidity is the least important factor. Temperature makes a big difference. I change my carto punching depending on season: more surface area to the carto exposed during the winter than the summer. This means I use more wicking area during the winter than the summer, but I use high percentage VG juice. I always keep my carto tanked rig upright whenever possible to avoid flooding the carto.
