Yea, I bet the threaded part of the atty base broke off in the fitting.

I had my ProVeri for 2 years and dropped it about 200 times. the last time I dropped it (last Month) with a protank on it, and found the top cap on the ProVeri crooked on it. It didn't fire the atty, but all the electronics were still working. I paid postage to provape and they fixed it for $20 which including shipping back.

I have always carried two set-ups with me. It use to be: my ProVeri and at first - EGO Twists then a ITaste MVP, then a LavaTube. Just about every 6 months one of my EGO twists broke, I would have to buy another $40 bucks a pop. Then I replaced the EGO's with the MVP and the button fell out after 5 weeks, then a couple weeks the 510 fitting started twisting causing the wires to strip off. I tried fixing it, but couldn't stop the 510 connection from twisting because there was no way to tighten it. So then I got the lavatube and after a couple of months the button on the LavaTube started wearing out then stopped firing.

So within the two years before my ProVeri broke, I spent over $200 in batteries for my second set-up. So I did the logical thing - - - and bought a ProVeri Mini. Now I don't care what new battery mod comes out. I'll never buy one, because I don't need it, and they don't last. - - - I have two ProVeri's that will last me a lifetime, and if one of them breaks - - - $20 will fix it.

I am MADLY IN LOVE WITH MY ProVeri X 2.

Don't listen to these people. Your Provari is completely broken. I will help you out and buy it from you for $20.
^ Cheapskate. I'll give you $35 for it - that's enough to go buy a nice Vamo from Fasttech, I'll bet it will be much sturdier and more dependable than that silly ol' ProVari!

So I am supposed to latch on to the golden part in the middle as I do this? I'm going to have to go buy screwdrivers for this nonsense.

No. It's a hollow piece of metal that has broken off. Trying to grab the golden part is not going to work. Do not mess with the golden part.

It's much like removing a broken lightbulb out of a socket. You need to have something to help you unwind that thread. You can look at the video a few more times and notice what he is achieving. Then, you can use whatever method you like.

Potatoes have been used for years on broken lightbulbs. This clever person below came up with using an eraser with a rubber band added to it fit just snugly enough to enable him to unwind the screw. Sometimes just the paper towel with a rubber band on it works, too.

Or, you can send it to provape.

" I fixed my provari!

A vision eternity broke off in my provari mini.

Unfortunately, it was a clean break with no uneven or sharp edges to grasp.

Someone had advised using a paper towel and stuffing it in to the opening and turning to get the piece out. That did clean the tip of the battery very well, but was a no go with respect to removing the part.

I tried tying a rubber band around the towel, inserting it and then turning. No go.

But, guess what? The eraser end of a pencil covered with the rubber band fits perfectly and just tightly enough. It came right out.

I am so proud of myself ( hehe) and figured others might have experienced the same problem.

Believe me, if I can do it, it will have to work for everyone! "

So what do I grab on to? What am I trying to unscrew? I see nothing in there except the golden thing.

Compare this pic of a Protank to the pick of your Protank.

Your Protank is missing the treads on the 510 connection. They broke off inside your provari's 510 connection.

Your Protank broke not your provari.

The idea in the video is for you to use two micro screwdrivers to push on the inside wall of the provari 510 connection and unscrew the threading that broke off inside.

So the answer to the thread title is "No, the ProVari seriously doesn't break this easily....but the Protank does."

I had a ProVari fall off my desk with an IBTanked on top. All it managed to do was bend the flange of the carto. It's not the ProVari that is at fault here, it is the clearo/tank on the top that is often the issue. It has the poor threading, not the ProVari.

I personally don't think the weight of a tank is an issue. ProVaris are pretty heavy, too, especially when you add a Tatroe Base. A glass tank on an Ego is top-heavy, but not on a ProVari.
