You have the Protank 1, which came with an eGo threaded beauty ring. It may look a little funny on the Provari, but it increases the stability of the connection between device and tank by an order of magnitude. It may not completely prevent another episode, but it will surely decrease the likelihood.

Edit: Here's where to get a spare, in case you have the PT2 and like the added security of the eGo threading.

Use the dropdown to choose whether you want a new base, a new ring, or add one of each to your cart.

So the answer to the thread title is "No, the ProVari seriously doesn't break this easily....but the Protank does."

Nah, I like this title. Gives the provari haters something to smirk about blindly. Everyone deserves a little joy, and they won't see many broken provaris.

Hi all,

"We" (as in the handyman I have working in my house for some repairs) were able to look at the youtube video and apparently unscrew the stupid thing quite easily with a single screwdriver (2 weren't necessary). Thank you for all the help. I am using a simple cartomizer for now so I don't have to put up with this because me being as clumsy as I am, will be knocking this thing around quite a bit and I don't want a repeat of this episode.

The forum seriously, is about as good a topical forum as exists on the internet. From my first post where I asked for help choosing an e-cig (since I had NO CLUE what to buy) to this, it has been nothing but great, to the point, helpful & knowledgeable posts. Bravo everyone and thank you!

And yes, I edited the title of the thread but frankly, the provari people sell the protank in a package deal as if it were their own product. So they should either take responsibility for it or develop their own tank and stop selling this crap.

Glad you and your handyman and the video were a good team. Thanks for letting us know.

Yeah, I was lucky. My Wife dropped two Prostanks. The Glass just shattered on both. They are crap. She now vapes with a ERA from the Philippines.

This is one thing that worries me about having a heavy tank on a 510 connection. Would it be wise to use a 510-510 adapter, so if there is a fall, the tank threads would be more likely to break off in the adapter, rather than having the adapter's threads break off in the ProVari?

Yep. That's exactly what happened to me. I was using a 510-510 adapter between the ProVari and the Protank because I'd read that the adapter would help tighten up the draw (it did). When I knocked my ProVari over on my desk (it didn't even fall to the floor) the Protank threads snapped off inside the adapter and all I had to do was take the adapter-plus-Protank-threads off. And order more Protank bases, heh. The ProVari was fine.

? Polycarb? Unless I'm looking at the wrong ERA....

anyway, it's not exactly fair to compare a glass tank to a non-glass tank is it?
It's a dripping atty. I'm just happy that she found what she likes. I spent a ton of money on tanks that just didn't work, break, or tasted like burning rubber or plastic.

Which ones would those be?

You mean what attys do I have ?

EBaron Dripper Pro
Killer 705
Terminator C V2
Euforia
Nimbus V3

Other stuff that I don't feel like listing.…

Those five are generally my all day attys that I rotate around. All well made and IMO worth the extra money , though on something like the eBaron which was over 100$ for a dripping atty it can be hard to justify it sometimes.

Euforia's RULE!

I just got that and my Ba Gua this week.

I love that it's smaller than my Evod / twist combo. My ego / twist is the 'I don't care if I break this or lose it' setup for concerts etc.
