I Quit smoking 9 days ago and yesterday evening I bought ecig with no nicotin PG50%/VG50% and smoked before I went to bed 2 hours later with no headach.
TODAY I smoked and have been having headach all day and I am wondering is it from the PG or VG?
Has anyone clue on what is causing this headach from smoking E-Cig?
FDA has approved VG AND PG so why am I feeling headach if its so healthy?

I am trouble-shooting this problem. Working with a doctor. I have documented allergy to dustmites. So she gave me two different nose-sprays and told me to first clean my nose with saline.

I have two air-cleaners in my apt, the bedroom one with a filter equipped to filter out allergens. I just put a mattress-cover on my mattress. Not much dust-catching broc-brac in my bedroom, and I keep it chilly.

Too much nic can trigger headaches. I am close to 0, but that is after 2 1/2 years. I find that some flavorings are problematic, and all my juices are mixed weak. I am cutting down on vaping, and may eventually quit, if I have to.

So there are many possible causes of headaches. If you usually wake up with a headache, it is more likely to be dust-mites. A headache after you have started vaping, etc is likely to be
nic content and/or flavoring

More than likely its not drinking enough liquids.

Have you upped the amount of your liquid intake? Try and always have something to drink handy when you vape. Dehydration is no joke and vaping will dry out your mouth, throat and nose. I wish all veteran vapers would tell this to the beginners, it would help them when starting out.

A combination of nicotine withdrawal and deydration...pg will dry out mucous membranes! Drink water while you vape.

Remember: when you quit smoking, there will be definite changes in your body, including the relaxation of blood vessels that were once restricted by the noxious chemicals in cigarettes. This new-found blood flow may mainfest strange side-effects, like headaches and possible dizzyness. They will pass in time. (I had them for two weeks after I quit)

Cold turkey isn't easy, and it's taxing on your body. I would humbly suggest 3-4mg juices to curb your bodies addiction.

:)

how much does vaping dehydrate a person? How much moisture is pulled from a body while vaping compared to any other activity?

Welcome and glad you joined. Headaches can be caused by many things related and not related to vaping.

I am going on my own personal experience and that of others, so while I cannot give you exact amounts, I have experienced this myself. I sometimes get super busy with a project and don't notice my excess vaping and not drinking anything, and then suddenly feel ill with headaches, muscle aches and cramping. Stopped vaping and began drinking water and within 10 mins or so felt much better. Also, if you go to vape meets where there are plenty of people vaping, one of the things they first tell you is to remember to drink liquids.

I think if you have vaped for any length of time you've probably noticed how much more thirsty you have become.

I would have to look to see if any scientific studies have been done on this, but this is so noticeable and manageable by yourself, I haven't even looked to find any.

I do know that dehydration is very serious for everybody, especially in the younger and senior crowds.
I lean more towards the latter rather than the former. sigh.....

Stopping smoking is stressful no matter how you do it. The possible reactions are endless. For the first couple of weeks vaping made me slightly, barely queasy. I figured it was a phase that would pass. It went away. Fully adjusting to vaping, including finding what I prefer took some months. Today I'm immune to relapse beause vaping is a superior experience. A lot of other vapers would confirm they are in the same situation. Mostly just keep vaping.

It sounds like your body is suffering from nicotine withdraw. This is common for smokers who switch to vaping and use e-liquid with 0% nicotine. Choosing the proper nicotine strength plays a huge role in successfully switching to vaping as an alternative to tobacco products. For more information on how to choose the right nicotine strength click here.

After reading this thread I would like to share personal experience with increasing VG...
I smoked hookah for like 4 years almost daily even twice a day. as you might guess- LOTS of charcoal burnt and co2 and so on.
and yes, sometimes I was having a nausea, lightheaded and feeling the hart pulse in my ears- symptoms of nicotine overdose, IMHO, the Shisha tobacco is loaded with nicotine much more than cigarette.
for the last couple of month I began to make some experiments with shisha tobacco in order to get some more "clouds" out of it and started adding some glycerin-- food grade. after those experiments I had really hard throat hit, dry throat which I didn't had before.
tend to think that it was due to increasing amount of glycerin- I think that overdose is bad sometimes. so now thinking about vaping- I intend to use as max VG as possible juices or to craft DIY- 0 nicotine at all and as little PG because I don't like the hit it produce- LOVE blowing out big smoke clouds, and that the reason for me to choose the sub ohm vaping as a beginning

sorry if it's not in the appropriate place
