does vaping takes some getting used to for most people?

Everyone takes to them differently. My wife and brother cough their heads off at the smallest vape. I've literally turned my equipment to the lowest setting and given them my lowest nic juice and they can't stand it. I've also discussed how to draw on it so it doesn't hurt. Nothing I could convince them to do would help them stomach vapor.

Myself, I never coughed once, and I spent much of my first couple of months looking for a harsher drag. I have noticed that the further removed from analogs I get, the less I care about the "kick in the chest" kind of drag I used to look for. I also stopped trying to simulate tobacco and menthol flavors. Now I'm lowering my nic content and counting puffs.

For those like me, it doesn't get any better than a good vape. For those like my wife and brother, this won't be for them. If they ever do quit smoking, it will certainly be from a different approach.

I only cough a tiny bit after the first morning vape if i use my Icy Mint 24mg 50/50. Im also still a noob but it seems menthol flavors can be over powering. I let my buddy that has been vaping for over a year try mine and he had a coughing fit. He uses higher VG and strictly fruit flavors with a earlier eGo model.

Ive also let a friend (who i want to quit smoking because i know he can quit) try several disposables and several flavors in my MVP, different tanks and he gags on all of them. Even on the lowest settings and mildest nic juices. Ive tried it all with him and he simply does not like them.

Nobody "taught me" how to smoke anything. With each vice, I pretended i knew what I was doing. But it took me a while to get used to the clearomizer. I kept waiting for the "lung hit", which wasn't present. So the next time, I'd take a bigger drag. I wouldn't call it coughing-- more like vomiting.

Eventually, I found a juice with a nice throat hit. But yeah, filling the mouth and then pulling it into the lungs is a good method.

I've been trying to get my loved ones to give vaping a try. Vaping makes them cough and they rarely take a second hit. I had my daughter take a drink of water before taking a vape. It worked. She took a second hit and liked it. However, she will not accept vaping over smoking. I will not give up. These are people I love dearly. I cannot give up trying. But a drink of water before vaping did help a lot.
