Does wattage ratings matter when firing on a mech mod?

I have Sony Vtc5s. If it were to drop below 3.2 would it burn out my coil or just not fire?

Nominal operating voltage is between 3.0 to 4.2volts, get a battery below 2.5v and you begin to degrade it, most times on a mech I notice a degradation in vapor at around the 3.5 to 3.7v range and swap them out then, this is also gentler on the battery as you are not stressing them hard recharging them from 2.6volts or so and get more charges on them at mid-charge to full charge from full safe discharge to full charge.

3.5 standing voltage under load will probably be closer to 3v depending on the load of course :)
