UK and European customers will be aware that here in Europe we are threatened with e-cig legislation from two fronts. Coming at us from the home side is the MHRA, a government medicines regulation agency that want to turn e-cigs into a medicine. Then from mainland Europe we have the EU commission that also want to medicalise e-cigs, but might allow 4mg/ml, or 0.4% nicotine, in their endorsed Nicotine Containing Products (NCP) available as an over the counter product. To put this in perspective, this amount of nicotine gives a plasma level similar to ingesting a dozen aubergines! (Thats eggplants for our US folk.)
We have an idea that the EU legislation may take a while to get sorted, but if the MHRA get their way, e-cigs could be cleared off the shelves in 21 days from the date of decision.
And a decision is pending from them anytime soon
We have to stop this, as it will be the end of e-cigs as we know them, and for many it will mean a return to tobacco cigarettes.
Dont let them take away your freedom of choice!
We are way beyond the old paradigm of quit or die; we are in a new era of freedom and choice with electronic cigarettes.
We are urging every one of you to write to your MP and ask them to oppose these legislations.
