What is your mod? Most likely you're looking for a (male-to-male) USB-to-Micro cable. They're a dime a dozen and if you have another electronic device, you probably already have one.
My Vaporesso uses 1 18650 battery and I have a battery charger but I just wanted to see how it charged with the usb cable.
Yes, it's the same as the phone cord but I wouldn't buy it on line because there are at least two different styles of the connection at the phone.
Your better off picking one up at a walmart or target if you have one in your area. You can pick them up just about anywhere these days.
And I know that most say buy a separate charger which I have but some of the best mods (Provape) recommend charging on the device. My Radius is always fine, just don't leave it charging overnight while your sleeping or leave the house while it's plugged in, but the same applies to external chargers.

Multiple battery mods with either DNA or YIHI chipsets normally have balanced charging, and it is perfectly fine to charge the batteries inside the mod. In addition, single battery mods normally do not have any issues with usb charging either.

Your only issue may be that if you do it all the time, the port may wear out eventually, and some DNA mods don't support USB charging, is my understanding, the port is for upgrades/playing around with firmware. So, trying to unsuccessfully charge one's batts via USB with a port only designed for updates could get a bit frustrating? I'm not playing, here, I could totally see myself trying to do that.... Except, I won't charge batteries anywhere but in my dedicated charger, since it's my understanding that is the safest option.

There are 2 kinds of cords, some cords are just for charging whatever and some are for charging and data transfer. If there is no sorta firmware upgrades or needing to plug the hitter into a computer then just the charging cord will do. If its firmware upgradable through the website or ArcticFox then having the data transfer cable is a must. I don't know the difference between the wires to look at them, only that it doesn't ding when I plug the hitter into my computer.
IIRC, Provape recommended charging in the mod because their electronics were at least as good as the better selling external chargers. That was back in the day when there were chargers that had the word "fire" in their name and lived up to it.
Haven't used my dedicated charger for about a year (may be more). Sure, my mods are one battery mods, so charging is an easy task for me. It's my computer or my Kindle charger.
I know there has been mention of charge only or data and charge usb cables, so I guess they exist, but I've never run across a usb cable that didn't carry data and power. Where do these usually hang out as I typically use places like cables to go or cables.com, even Amazon's own "basic" cable line stuff and never ran across a charge only cable?

As such they were specifically built with all the goodies to safely in mod charge, as well as a usb plug that would be used for charging on an exclusive basis. So in my DNA mods that use replaceables, I'm perfectly comfortable doing in mod charging pretty much all the time, unless it's a mod with dead batteries and I want to use it right there and then, so I'll throw in a charged set and put the empties in my charger.

Eskie, I think now it's harder to find a cable that doesn't have data transfer as well. Once upon a time most cheap cables would go either way. The cables that came with my mods were all data as well.
I will throw mine on a USB charger at work sometimes, especially if I didn't swap for charged before leaving.

I have a few cables that won't work for data,sad part is they came with mods that are upgradable but could not update with them,i had to use other cords.
On the Dna charging,that's what i do too.I have the Therion bf,and it is such a pain to change the battery in,that i just charge it in the mod,never any issues.
I would like to add that it's good to plug a mod in occasionally, it will help keep the port clean. I don't know of any DNA boards that don't do onboard charging, not saying they don't exist but I've never heard of it I'm just curious.
I think back on the DNA 20 there was no usb on the board. Maybe something could have been added to the box. But in vape years the DNA 20 came out around when the pyramids were still being built.
