I think this is just a BIT over the top.... anyone agree with me?


Time to batten down the hatches again, and change the configuration of the Yellow Brick Road.....

Vicks.....Here is my take on that! As most know I am a member of both forums(as is my right to be).I personally find it quite sad and disheartining to see one forum spill over to another forum as often as the two seem to do(all in a negative fashion).I'm not sure if it's competition between the two that warrants this...or just the difference in rules and guidelines.I personally think the Admin at the other forum(who we all know)is getting tired of the same-old-same old over there(as was posted earlier today).I just want to have fun at forums...I will never be a part of the negative threads(unless I'm trying to add some relief to it).I don't need to defend ECF(Admin and moderators)for the actions they decide to take...they make and enforce the rules(and most long timers know what they are)..if the rules are broken..the decission and recorse for action is in their hands.Maybe if the links for both sites were made unavailable to post on both forums things might settle down a bit. Are we going to see a "Full Blown Knock Down Drag Out War" between these two forums....I think not...They are what they are..Take them or leave them! You can put your gear back in storage..you won't be needing it!!The Wiz!

As our own "entity" here, I don't see a need to involve ourselves in any battles or "war of words" that takes place anywhere except here in the EC. And seeing as how that's never happened here, and I can't forsee it happening in the near future, I propose that it's a moot point!
Many of us here are members of both forums, and as such, have different views on the way they are run, and the way things are handled in each of them. It seems to me however, that all animosity is left outside the gates of the City, as it always has been, and hopefully will remain so in the future. We have come too far as friends to be derisive now, and as such, I further propose that we act as our own little Switzerland, and remain neutral in any and all conflicts while here in the city.
Of course we will take up the cross for any causes that we personally become passionate about, but we should refrain from doing so here in our little corner of bliss.
To put it bluntly... keep the crap out of the City!!! That goes for EC1, EC2, EC3, and EC-whatever!!!

OK...that's my rant for the day... I feel much better now, thank you very much!!!

Are you seriously thinking that your previous post was contentious??? I assume that you are referring to the acronym? All I see there is a very clever way to interpret a bunch of "stars" (I can't spell asterisk) ending in .com!!!!!

I just want to say that I appreciate this place because I know I can come here for a few moments of chuckles and aaawwwwwssss. I know I can find friends here and don't have to worry about watching my back or dealing with garbage that is prevalent so many other places. This has always been my Switzerland and I just hope it stays that way. My comforter and fuzzy slippers are here. I hope that never changes.

Jo....I think The Emerald City has always been a safe haven for us.We just need to keep our gaurd up is all.The havok that surrounds us will always be present in one form or another.I will always make sure whatever happens outside these walls doesn't find a crack to slip into.I think all the members here feel the same way....we're here to have fun...not participate in a battle of words!!The Wiz!

Thanks for the heads up regarding my slippers. They actually have a fur edging that resembles my little Schnauzer dogs. I'd have to smack them darn monkeys around if they take my slippers!
