I just order this from fasttech. I wan't another parallel mech box that was classy looking. The so called Cherry Bomber v2 I have is a hokey POS. It's got some good reviews.

I have one, its a cool, small parallel mech. One big thing is do not bridge the top and bottom brass parts on the box. It will short. also pay attention to the positive pin on your atty. it needs to stick out a bit or it can short out there.

Some of them have a little nub to help with the atty positive pin but the one you picked may not as some are a flat piece of copper.

The one you wan't is supposedly the best version of the four or five on FT. There where issues in the beginning i've read, but they seem to have fixed them some time ago already. When I ordered mine, I didn't go for that version, simply because it states it varies by shipment from copper to brass center-pin, which then means brass internals i'm guessing with this design. I know one that have both mine and the one you're thinking about and states they we're both good and only very slight cosmetic issues between them, so I got the other one(the one for 20.6 USD I believe it was, version C i think). The button per design is kinda squishy, and the thing I hate about this and my castigador, is those damn springs, as it's supposed to be convenient, but isn't, atleast for me, as the springs are too tight, and I don't believe it's good for longevity either... I've had to torch mine and stomp them to get them to now be just a ..... to use, instead of practically impossible without great atty overhang...

Personally, of all my dual parallel mechs, I only use my cherry-bomber and raptor, as they outperform everything else, and is freakin' geniously simple designed :) (Although the dos-equis also is very simple...)

Did you get the one with copper-pin(internals) or brass(like the SKU states randoms by shipment) and are the springs loose or way to tight like mine...
[...]I haven't taken a vape on it, yet, but I am sure it'll hit as hard as any other dual 18650 parallel mech.
Not all dual 18650 parallel mechs hit the same, and is just like tube mech mods i.e. good switch-designs and thicker/heavier conductive materials will give off less VD...

I know the tobecco inline voltmeters aren't perfect, and there spec's list also 5% inaccuracy, but e.g. my abaddon and my raptor are 30% apart in performance according to that, on a low build(both alu versions)...

Sorry, I haven't bothered testing my dos-equis because I don't use it as i'm so annoyed by the tight springs, just as my castigador(i've torched and physically stomped on them several times and it's better now, but I still need fiddling for several minutes to get the damn thing on, unless wanting a big atty-overhang). Well, actually I have, but don't remember the result, although it was pretty much the same ballpark as the abaddon if I remember correctly...

The dos-equis is regarded as a very effecient mod too, with it's simple design(few parts) and copper internals... Also, VD differences normally only makes a percievable difference when going low on the ohms imho.... Personally I like very hot, short powerfull tokes, so VD is a pretty top-concern for me, as I don't wanna build lower than needed and waste battery life/longevity faster than needed.

I received one with copper. The springs seem to fit just right as far as I can tell.

Cool, thanks for the update! Trust me, if you can change cells without feeling like throwing the crap into your wall with all your force(lol ;)), then you've got 'them good springs! :)

Looks very nice, congrats with your purchase mate :toast:

I personally would like a version without a bump that's glued or press-fitted(510), but just a flat-portion from the plate itself as 510, and additionally, the v2's style screwed-in battery-plugs... Although i've kinda lost faith in the small lighter dual-parallel mechs performance-wise compared to the bulkier likewise good designed ones...
