It's the witch hunt, nothing more and people don't know better... that's all.

There's diacetyl in microwave popcorn, not one person has ever caught "popcorn lungs" because of
eating it.. it was in the manufacturing plants where people were exposed to MILLIONS of times more than anyone else would ever be, and it was mostly the heavy smokers that were affected.

there was that one guy

Colorado man awarded $7 million in ‘popcorn lung’ case; claimed breathing fumes from microwave popcorn damaged his lungs

Wow.. 2 bags each day for years... and while he won, I didn't see any conclusive proof, just that it was during the massive hysteria years. The guy did a crapload of exposure to a crapload of other chemicals for a living... I guess he managed to strike the iron while is was blistering hot.

I can't even find any mention of level of diacetyl in microwave popcorn anywhere I looked.

But even then, cigarettes have (I read in all the stuff I just looked up) 110 times the amount on any e-liquid out there... so we are talking EVERY cigarette ever smoked, as opposed to SOME flavours that has some (like a tiny tinny ultra little bit).

And again, 10 years of vaping, not one case, 100+ years of cigarettes, also not one.

i hear ya... point is, some choose to not inhale chemicals if it is possible... i personally buy both, diketone free juice as well as juice with it...

If it doesn't have diacetyl, it ain't worth vaping

thats not true either lol... theres some good stuff out there

You actually breathe in 100 times (or more) the number of bad chemicals walking down a street with moderate traffic. Heck, new car smell, cleaning products, new carpets, etc. have all a LOT more bad airborne chemicals than you'll even get from vaping.

I was worried at first with the whole witch hunt propaganda everywhere, then I read about it, educated myself, and now I just sigh and take a deep breath when this comes back for the thousandth time.

I just punch a hole in the wall every once in awhile.
This thread illustrates the number the government has done on people's brains. We have new guy show up and ask "Dose (sic) unflavored E-Liquid contain diacetyl?" How would new guy even GET to vaping = diacetyl = popcorn lung without pure unadulterated propaganda? Yeah, I'm average joe with nothing better to do than sit around thinking about diacetyl and unflavored ejuice. Gimme a break.

would love to read about the other stuff being worse than vaping lol.... i think thats a stretch...the fact remains, putting anything other than air into your lungs is not good for you...so if you could limit the amount of chemicals being inhaled, the better. I'm not talking about popcorn lung etc....just in general, some people would like to vape with minimal chemicals. Whats wrong with that?

It amazes me that while smoking no one gave a second thought to what's in cigarettes knowing it's bad for us, then switching to vaping and focus on ONE additive that may be bad. :2c:
I wish I could just like this over & over!

Here you go...
Air pollution - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So.. if vaping is that bad according to you, why do you vape and why are you here?

Have you missed out on the reports about VG and PG and how it affects people since the 1950s?

And what about all the reports about the deaths and ailments from the flavouring being vaped in the last 10 years?

i wasnt aware that i said vaping is that bad. please, show me where that was said.. you're literally arguing nothing right now.

all i said was, that some people would prefer to not put chemicals in their body if given the choice. whats so wrong about that?

It's funny how ironic your posts are... you're the one that's here again and again doing nothing but repeating "chemicals bad, some don't want to put them in their body".. and you say that I'm "arguing".

Oy...

Your insistence in this thread is the "vaping is that bad" mention. What is your goal/point on repeating it over and over? That suddenly everyone drops vaping because chemicals are scary?

We inhale so many bad chemicals all the time that according to your view, we'd all be dead already... and so far, there's still no factual proof that vaping is any worse than what you'd breathe in on a regular day.

Vaping might not be 100% perfect here, but neither is the air we breathe every day regardless. And so far, nothing after 10+ years has been shown to harm a single person.

Anyways.. I'm done.

dude. you clearly have a problem following conversation since i NEVER SAID IT WAS BAD. all i said was that SOME PEOPLE choose to vape CHEMICAL FREE JUICE if possible. Why do you care if someone wants to do that? these are literally my posts below. so not sure where you get that im fear mongering or saying NOT to vape juice with chemicals. i literally said that you wont get popcorn lung to the person who was asking.... and i was simply replying to other peoples posts or questions on everything else.

my quotes

correct, but like mentioned, the chances of actually getting popcorn lung are zero. the only cases were people working in the factory inhaling the powder...

well, i dont agree entirely with this either. Most started vaping in order to quit cigarettes. so, some people wnat to make sure that the juices they are vaping are clean in a sense. switching from one bad thing to a less bad thing isnt what everyone are looking to do.

i hear ya... point is, some choose to not inhale chemicals if it is possible... i personally buy both, diketone free juice as well as juice with it...

I am not finding this logic entertaining.

People were smoking almost half a century when in 1950 Dr. Ernst L. Wynder published a groundbreaking report in the Journal of the American Medical Association that demonstrated that smoking caused cancerous tumors in mice.

Surgeon General started issuing the warnings in 1964.

Brushing aside these fears as "conspiracy theories" is what BT did half a century.

And what about all the reports about the deaths and ailments from the flavouring being vaped in the last 10 years?

Can we get some examples to this? Your theory makes sense only compromised population like an asthma patient. For general population, I will take American Lung Association's observation that inhaling anything but air carries risks.

That is not a fact, there are many circumstances in which putting chemicals into the lungs is not only good for some, but can save their lives.
