New here and to vaping that is.

I've been smoking a pack a day for 20+ years and after a friend showed me some of his vaping setups and let me try out a couple I made the decision to switch. However being in Afghan is making all my stuff take forever to get here.

I think I might have gone a little overboard on my starting stuff. I picked up two mods, an eVIC-S primary and a Tesla VV/W backup. Five tanks Aspire Nautilus, 2x Aspire Nautilus Mini, Aspire Atlantis, and Joye Delta 23 (plus extra coils for them). Bunch of bridgeless DDAs. 4x Sony VTC4 batteries and a Nitecore D4 charger. Lots of cases, bottles (including a U-CAN to try out), and drip tips.

Oh, and a CLT V2 Plus and all the needed rebuilding tools and material since my friend will be teaching me and I wanted to have my own stuff. My friend is also giving me his old Octopus.

Guess I really went overboard... guess this isn't going to save me any money.

Well being deployed means I got deployment money. So I just tapped some of it out here instead of for when I get back. Normally I couldn't dump the money I did ether.

Backups are vital to success making the switch. A real bummer to be well on the way and have your one and only fail. Murphy was an optimist

And yes, initial cost may be more, but most of the gear will serve you well for a long time. Can't say that about a pack of smokes, where all you have left is a pile of ashes. Once past those "start-up costs", it can be a lot cheaper. Juice. Coils. And even many clearos can be recoiled by the user.

Welcome to a whole new world!!! Seems you dove right in head first. Not always the recommended way to start, but if it keeps you off the cancer sticks...

Just be very aware of battery safety when rebuilding coils and such. Don't want to see you get hurt while vaping and on deployment!!!

Well my friend will be teaching me and he mostly uses RBAs and RDAs. It's good to have someone you can grab and ask questions of.
