“E-cigarettes, and particularly flavored e-cigarettes, are marketed to young people with tactics that are misleading at best, and may be a gateway to the use of traditional cigarettes and nicotine addiction. It is critical that e-cigarettes and advertising for e-cigarettes be regulated so that children, adolescents and young adults do not start using an addictive substance under the misimpression that inhaling the vapor of e-cigarettes is less dangerous than using tobacco products.”

Let's play the "Fun With Word Substitution" game, shall we?

Any doctor who asserts with a straight face that e-cig vapor is no less harmful than cigarette smoke should, quite frankly, have their doctorate revoked and be stripped of their license to practice medicine. If the Hippocratic Oath means anything, and professional ethics mean anything, there should be some sort of limit on how wantonly and deliberately one can lie in public and still be permitted to call themselves a medical doctor.

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. The only possible reason for an actual doctor to do something like this is that while they *may* be a doctor, "prostitute" would actually be a better job description.

This puts it in perspective..
And of course, there is this "Saying ecigs are 95 percent safer is not a medical claim, it is a truth - Prof. Hajek"

It's regrettable that as yet there have been no comments posted there, but if one were to respond to every such piece of bunkum, it would become more than a full time job. As others have said here, it takes a lot of time, effort and words to properly rebut a one sentence lie.

It takes many good deeds to build a good reputation, and only one bad one to lose it.
