Drag x usb cable not recognized?

Just got my new voopoo drag x and I’m trying to upgrade the firmware but i am getting “the usb device is not recognized” I am using the cable that came with the drag x...I have tried restarting pc, unplugging and plugging it back in and restarted the drag but nothing seems to work... I really would like to upgrade it so is there anyone who know how I fix this thing??

That sucks... just tried out to see if my drag 2 would work and it did... do you know if I can get a replacement cable?

I may be misunderstanding your posts. But, if the same cable works with your Drag2, then I don't see how the cable is bad. It's more like an issue with the X.

It’s not same cable. Drag uses micro usb and the x got type c

I got help from voopoo support chat and it was a really simple solution lol, I just had to put in the cable so the arrow on the cable was facing down

That's weird @R0binL. As with USB C type connection, the orientation shouldn't matter.

So in theory it should work in either orientation.

yes i agree its really weird but it works now so thats all that matters

Mophie and Ifrogz make some decent aftermarket USB C cables, just for future reference.

Had to get some new ones myself, as my partner tortured her Samsung phone cable to death.

Mophie cable was this one.

Ifrogz was this cable.
iFrogz UniqueSync Braided USB A to C Charge & Sync Cable Fast 3.0A USB3.1 Black 1.8m

Both so far seem to be very durable, and the length is certainly handy.
