Ever since ive started vaping I have had dreams of smoking real cigs. in most of my dreams Iam sneaking and hiding it and I feel guilty doing it. Last night I had a dream I was building a house and hiding in the basement smoking one after the other crying that I was smoking. How long do these dreams last? I admit in the dream it feels pretty satisfying puffing away but I still want them to stop. Anyone else have these kinds of dreams?

I didn't have smoking dreams but did have dreams for another habit I once had.

I do have a friend that had smoking dreams after switching to vaping. They lasted a few weeks on/off and then went away.

I'm no doc but I get the impression it isn't unusual - especially for an addictive habit.

Maybe you're not getting the same nic level or "mental" satisfaction and that "loss" or craving is in the mix. Try some other flavs and maybe a notch up on the nic and see if that helps.

I've had a few dreams (though rarely) where I found myself taking a puff on a cigarette, only to realize pretty quickly what I'm doing & go "Craaap! My 'smoke free' counter on the forum, in my signature - all those months, lost! Back to square one. Gahh!" Then when I wake up, it's a great relief to know it was nothing but a bad dream. Everyone has bad dreams sometimes; hopefully with time, they become less frequent or fade away altogether.

In the waking world, nothing could convince us to touch a cigarette ever again! Of that we're sure!

I have no idea why they were wearing tiger masks. And nope I was about to get my ... kicked when I woke up! I think I just spend too much time with them, and one did try to rub me out when I tagged her calf couple of days before.
Yep no more cheating myself of a longer life. Hang in there I'm sure the dreams will fade in time. When I first quit the smokes I felt like I lost a part of myself, a good friend then It hit me what kidda friend wants to kill you?...Hey maybe my cows wearing masks was really about smoking...hum something to thinks about.

haha. oh man. I tried zyban. that stuff made me a basket case. I was doing some undercover type investigation... I would be driving to my next stop and had to pull over as tears were streaming down my face. depression would kick in at odd times and was worse than after my 4th concussion. on my 3rd day of being a blubbering whoosy I decided that was enough.
