Drill and Drill bits? What to get/use?

What drill and drill bits should I get to start drilling airholes? I own carpentry drills, I think I have some higher power drills lying around somewhere around here.. Do I need anything special? Will a cheap drill work? I know I have a cheap drill...

I use a manual hand drill and bits I pick up at Harbor Freight.

A Pin Vise is what It use like those shown here:

wow so I can do this with a manual hand drill, that means I could probably do it with a cheap drill I guess?
Alright cool. I'll look into these pin vices and see if I have drill bits or if I can pick some up.

So basically i'll be good with the drill I have I'm thinking?

I just enlarged the single tiny hole in my tank cartomizer with a crappy $15 Walmart hand drill and 1/16 drill bit. Never done it before and it worked like a charm!

cyclotron, I'm just curious--what are those pin vises for with respect to what we do here? I know they can be used for twisting wire...but other than that, I'm at a loss.
