Are these 2 products compatible, or will I have to buy regular carts? I'm really not wanting to buy carts for that if I can avoid it. UNless you can use the clearomizer as a drip without doing anything to it, which would be a massive bonus (empty of course)

No, the drip tips only fit on the carts. Won't work on the mini-tanks.
I actually tried this out. I cleaned out my clearomizer, and dripped 2 drops of liquid down the hole, and waited 5 minutes while it sat there. Then used it and it allowed me to test the flavor dripped in. I thought it would work, but now I can confirm.
