Drip Tip for 510 Clearomizer XL?

I know, I know... A Drip Tip on a Cartomizer? But seriously, I've gotten so accustomed to vaping with a drip tip that it just feels weird using anything else. So the other day I got in some XL Clearos and I'm really, really liking them. I can fill up two and vape all day at work without worrying about running dry. I've got several different 510 drip tips that I have been using on them. It is a REALLY tight fit. And after a few times of wiggling it into the tube I am starting to get some stress cracks in the top of the tube. The cracks don't go down far enough to cause any leaks... Yet. I know it will eventually. But I'm stubborn and want to use drip tips.

Has anyone found a drip tip that will fit a bit easier into the XL Clearos? Or am I the only one dumb enough to use a drip tip on a carto?

A lot of people use a drip tip on their cartos, including me.

Get a derlin 510 drip tip and shave the bottom edge a little bit with an exacto knife. Dab a little juice on the O-ring before you insert it to lubricate it.

Take the o-rings off your drip tips and see which one fits best. Then put the o-ring back on and shave off a bit from the side. I've done this for drip tips that were too tight and they've worked great since.

Thanks to both of you! I've been using mainly the metal drip tips. I do have a few of the derlins laying around somewhere though. I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

I've found that carving or filing the o-ring channel in the drip-tip a LITTLE deeper often helps.

The drip tips I have fit so tight that I can't even get them seated in to the o-ring. The o-ring sits just at the rim of the tube. I will try that on the delrin tips though, along with shaving or sanding the base down as well.

If you replace the rubbish tubes with BD 3ml syringe tubes then a standard 510 drip tip fits perfectly with o ring and no trimming required

I tried the 3ml syringe. No joy. The tube is just a wee bit too big for the components to fit. I've heard elsewhere that the inner dimension of this brand of syringe has recently changed for some unknown reason. Wish I knew where to find some old stock of them.
