any way to mod a 808 d-1 prefilled cartomizer so i can direct drip

I believe you can remove the cap and insert a drip tip shorter one is better if you got it. If it is glued on you might need to dip the end you put in your mouth into some hot (boiling) water until the glue loosens enough.

This will allow you to "top up" your carto.

hotone's got it... all of the 808 cartos i've had can pop the top off pretty easy, then just pop in a drip tip in its place.

Although I notice when topping off a carto from the top, you really need to get it on the sides because when I dripped it right in the center it all ran right through the middle and leaked out the bottom.

ya i figured out u can carefully pull the outer filling out and leave the wick and atty
then a few drops and your good
