Drip with or without atty bridge\mesh?

Hey vapers,

New to this, should I remove the bridge and mesh in a drip only atty? I thought I saw a vid saying it makes them last longer if you remove the bridge. Could I use it with everything intact and then when it starts to taste weird, remove the "extras." Would that make it taste better again? Advantages\Disadvantages? Thx!

I've vaped both ways and really saw no difference. I did notice that I had to drip more often without the bridge (no wiki more drippie )

As a rule you will get more vapor and flavor with a debridged atty but that isn't 100% i've had several that i couldn't get a vape off at all without tasting burnt so just keep in mind that when you mess with a piece of equipment that you never know what is going to happen.

Thx, so I guess I should wait until a atty tastes bad and then give removing the wick and bridge a try? Will that extend the life then?

Thanks, ill def. Check it out. I thought all this time that the bridge was a key component and that vaping wasn't possible without it. Lol i feel like such a noob now.

My bottom-feeder came with a bridgeless atty and I'm sold on them. I have been using the same one for nearly two months. I like the flavor better than bridged attys. Instead of going to the trouble of de-bridging attys I would just buy bridgeless ones...unless, of course, you have a lot of the bridged ones on hand.

BTW I don't care much for the rubber tip, but the vape is so great that is a minor consideration.

I like the bridge and wick in tact. It's a personal preference thing. I drip almost all the time and there's less leakage (for me) with the wick and bridge in it and I can go longer between top-offs since the wick holds extra juice. Once you get the hang of dripping with or without the wick/bridge it's a beautiful thing. Takes a minute but golly it's worth it.

If you are going to debridge/dewick the atty, you will want to do this before the first use as the atty gets gunked up.

Using this process isn't for the purpose of extending the life of the atty, but rather to drip directly on the coil for a cleaner more flavorful hit.

When i am trying new flavours, i almost always drip. the flavour pops a bit more for me when i use a de-bridged atty.

the 510 LR 1.8ohm dripping atomizer from digitalciggz is my main dripping atty for 3.7V right now. It does not have a bridge, but has like a plate with 3 holes over the coil.

I removed the mesh and bridge on one of my atty's to try this out. I think I killed it by removing a small piece of wick that feeds up to the coil. I can't get a good vape on this one. If you are going to do this on your own....be careful to not get too crazy and remove the important parts.
I ran across a few sites that sell bridgeless atty's, but many were sold out over the weekend when I looked. I will certainly give one a try and also try to remember to post back my findings.
