Hey guys I'm new in town, but I've been vaping for 2+ years. I'm trying drippers. I've been using rebuildable tanks for the last year like kayfun, GG Penelope, and GG ithaka. I think I'm sticking to rebuildables. I got a Helios and a Omega for Christmas, they just haven't arrived yet (so they say...lol) so I want to build these two right the first time! So let 'em rip! I'd like to see some of the genius you guys have on these two atomizers. The Helios and The Omega

Not much to say, both great RDA platforms honestly. If you liked the flavor your Kayfun gives you, you'll definitely like dripping on those to RDAs. Don't know where your experience in battery chemistry and safety are, nor what type of mod you'll be plopping those onto the top of, nor your resistances on your Kayfun and such, but air flow on an RDA can be dialed in or modified more so and coil designs can differ to get your desired effect. Just be careful is all I can say, resistance will determine what battery you will be looking at running with them, voltage drop of your mod, coil type, wick type, air hole placements, etc.

g/l and be safe =)

I plan on sitting the Helios on a Cronus, and I might put the Omega on my nemesis. I plan on using orbtronic sx22 for batteries, and as for coils I know a little. Enough to get by with the Ithaka at 0.9 to 1.0 ohms using duel coils. I typically use 32 gauge kanthal on my single coils and .25mm on duel coils. I try to stay above 0.7 ohms for now I don't want to blow my batteries, I've heard horror stories enough to check every time. I do now have both atomizers and in search of organic cotton I've tried on silica and it works but my Ithaka can still produce the same results. But I do have to admit the flavor is a little stronger. I'll post pictures later.

Walgreens or CVS pharmacy for organic cottom balls if you have one close in your area. Alternative would be "Peaches and Cream" organic cotton yarn (white) you can find in the Walmart yarn section. A 0.7 dual micro coil with 28ga on either of those will rock and roll all day long, the Helios you might have to watch your wicking closely with how far up those coils sit in there, so remember, less cotton almost like a puff ball cloud sitting under the coils, and if you thread any in, just enough you start to get friction, once its wet and swells it will fill in the space comfortably.

We'll I've built a 28 gauge 0.5 duel microcoil setup on my omega on my nemesis. It is rock hard guys! I'm vaping five pawns gambit right now at 12 mg I was vaping 18 but holy crap I was getting nicsick so I dropped to 12 first time with gambit and I swear I almost had to change my shorts it's that freaking good!

The omega was not difficult at all to build very easy, the Helios on the other hand may prove interesting. Just like IMFire said the coils sit high so it will be fun to get this one right. Oh and the less cotton thing I try to use just enough to cover to bottom of the dish so it I drip through the drip tip hole it'll catch and feed the coils but I don't cram my coils either I stop right when I feel some resistance. Thanks guys I'll post more after I build the Helios

I'm waiting for the Helios build due to the fact I'm waiting for either the coils for my omega to fail ( so I have to rebuild) or my Cronus to come in. I'm a little particular with my vapes. Like my provari has a protank and a Z-atty pro. My nemesis has the kayfun 3.1 and now the omega. The Just GG has the Penelope and the ithaka. The Cronus will have the Helios and I'm looking into finding a taifun. Or the 3D I'm not sure maybe just stick with Helios. I like to have a certain look to things and most of my mods are steel no paint. polished or matte steel...

Have you tried Grandmaster or Queenside yet? Gambit is good but the other 2 are even more flavorful. I would pass on Absolute Pin unless you like black licorice. Bowden's mate is decent if you like menthol.

I got the Five Pawns sample pack vaping on a Grenade mod with the Patriot tank at .7 ohms dual with cotton, LOVE dripping!

I'm going for grandmaster and queenside tomorrow at my local vape shope. I had to stop Vaping Gambit because it's so good I didn't want to put it down. I don't want to vape the whole bottle in a week lol. But yes dripping is great... But I'm still getting a hang of know when to add more liquid. It seems to me the flavor gets a little bland or it feels like there's no moisture then I add more but. I've burnt my Cotton before even that happened... So I'm still experimenting.

I will say this now... The Helios is a MONSTER!!!! I got tired waiting for the Cronus and I went ahead and built the Helios. The coils came out to 4.8, duels 7 wraps 28 gauge. And I probably used to much cotton but I made sure there was a lot of room left for air circulation. So I put in the same 10 or so drops I'd put in the omega. And it vapes wonderfully.. But I saw how hight the coils sat and how high the air flow ports were and it got me thinking... This might hold a crap ton of juice.. And it does, I don't mean like its a tank and can hold 3 mil of liquid but it can support much more liquid than the omega. However if you tip the the Helios it will leak so one thing to watch for. The air flow is great it's not tight despite the small holes and if you close them off mostly using the airflow ring the airflow is reminiscent of of say a good clearomizer, but the vapor is top notch.
My one gripe on the Helios is the drip tip hole or port... It is small I tried to put a stainless steel Ming on it and it almost shorted out because the insert is to long and it touches the positive post of the build and a some of my other tips are to wide for them to fit but I found one that did and it's my cheapest one I got it for free years ago with a 510 atomizer. You know the black one with the mesh bridge you get if you bought a device from totally wicked like 2 years ago... yeah.... This one ⬇️

So yeah but it fits nice.... I'll post more pictures when I can but for now this is it.
Over all I'd say I'm happy with the Helios, it works very well, and as for the Omega? I still like it but I think I'll be using it as my work set up, while the Helios remains king lol.

I'm actually thinking about trying a 6mg liquid to see how I feel, but to be fair I like throat hit. I used to vape at 36mg back when I first started vaping. If it wasn't tearing my throat up it wasn't doing it for me. No I'm not stupid I know what nicotine sickness is, I've felt it and I know it is damaging. To be honest I have tired every single type of tobacco I know of cigarettes, chew (tried it once never ever again), pipes ( by far my favorite, but that too I've sworn off), snus (American and Swedish), snuff, cigars ( cheap gas station cigarillos to 15$- 30$ handmades like Partagas, and hookah shisha. Now vaping and I will not go back. No other medium can do what vaping does for me. Tobacco is a creature of manipulation & devastation. It comes in many forms and in every one of them it's iron grip is tight, So I hope I've found
a strong enough alternative to beat it.
I know this has nothing to do with drippers but I thought I'd share...

Correction... I did a side by side with the Helios and the Omega... One would possibly say they perform close to the same... But I believe the omega takes the cake. The problem with the Helios is the height off the deck. I did an experiment I rolled some organic cotton to fit into the coils in the Helios so the ends would lay on the deck. I dropped 10 - 15 drops of liquid and vaped it. In four pulls it was dry almost burning. But here is the kicker it got the same amount of vapor as I would from CE4... I dumped half a dropper full ( like one of those glass ones in premium liquid bottles) A mil I think And it didn't leak but it was gone in 4-5 pulls. This is interesting. If I did the same thing with the Omega it would leak all over the place... however the omega produces tons more vapor and it almost a half a ohm higher! So I thinks it's my build in the Helios but the results are surprising... I will post pictures tomorrow on both build and give updates

Ok so final thoughts on the Helios and the Omega... They are both awesome!! Each one has it's strengths, the Omega for the massive clouds and rugged dependability and the Helios for ease of building and great flavor. I like the both and find my self using them differently depending on my mood. If I want super massive clouds it's the Omega if I just want to chill with good flavor and a warm vape it's the Helios. So I think I have my answer ad now I understand dripping MUCH better thank you all for you advice and tips I do very much appreciate it. Now just a couple pictures......⬇️
