Hey guys. I'm the proud owner of an Ego-T but I think I'm going to start dripping when I'm around the house and whatnot. I have a 510 atty & tip on order, my first question is, this should work fine, right? I didn't check the resistance or anything but everyone seems to say that anything 510 should work on an ego, so when I saw FSUSA selling debridged attys I tacked one onto my order.

Second question, are there advantages/disadvantages of dripping one or the other? It seems the ego atty could hold an extra couple drips since it's so much larger, but it also seems like it'd be easier to drip way off to the side of the coil in an ego too. Really I don't know, I've never seen the guts of a standard ego atty so I don't know what to expect there. Any tips from the pros?

Thanks WoH. I'm sure the difference between bridged and de- is pretty minor, but since I know I'll never be going back to carts I figured what the heck.

Nobody has any words of wisdom on 510 vs ego dripping? :( I'm basically wondering if I should bother investing in an ego atty to drip with or if it'd be just as good out of a 510, for a couple bucks less.

OK so not a lot of responses here. Now that I've tried both I thought I'd pop in with an update. (We can thank Cignot's crazy fast shipping for this update only being 3 days out)

I've had a really kind of unpleasant experience with dripping so far. The 510 worked OK but every drag had a funky taste to it, carried very little flavor, and got maybe 2 solid drags per drop. That doesn't seem to match other people's experience so I'm open to ideas. Using a standard 510 atty from FSUSA on an Ego battery.

Dripping with the ego atty was an ever worse experience. I hardly ever got any vapor. I made it up to 10 drops before I just gave up. I just kept feeding and kept feeding it, a couple drops at a time, waiting for something to happen and got nowhere slowly.

So for now I'll take my ego-t over dripping any day of the week. Better and more consistent in every way so far as I can tell. Again, any tips for a newbie dripper would be welcome since it hasn't turned out to be the vaping Nirvana that everyone seems to describe it as.

i drip with a 510 atty on a ego before and not a 510, but with the ego the 510 atty i was getting by with it but when i picked up a LR306 atty i noticed the flavor and the TH was a lot better then using the 510 attys. I've always use blow on the atty to get the primer out of the atty when add 3 drips in and do a couple of puffs but not inhaling, then i put 2 more drips and im ready to go. thats only when i start with a fresh new atty. i heard a lot better reviews about the ego then the 510. valuevapor.com has LR306 attys for like 5 bucks

Thanks rbrito. Thats my next step if I want to keeping trying with dripping is a 306. Maybe with one of those pyrex tips I saw some people talking about the other day. That looks a lot more like what I'd expect "direct" dripping to be. Theres so much height to the 501 and ego attys that I can only imagine most of the juice sticks to the sides as is slides in. But maybe theres some mechanism at play there that I'm not taking into account.

No there's really no trick to it; you just have to get a little more experience and not all attys, LR or SR, are 'created equal' and consistency can still be frustrating at time. Dripping is no magic answer to awesome vaping but you can be getting much better, satisfying performance compared to what you are so far. Just drip a few drops onto the bridge for now. It will soak down around the mesh down in there and get to the coil.

My first LR I was kinda disappointed with at first but it broke in better with some time like most of mine have. Instead of debridging just dewick at least for now. Google that there's a good video or three. Very easy and worthwhile if your not going to use carts. I'm still just getting into this myself and have recently bought like four 501 attys (3 LR), a 306 LR, two 901s of each and a "Mega 510 LR (long)." One LR I debridged. While they all work just fine I was not really enamored with any right "out of the box" except the "long" one. I also did not immediately notice a huge diff after debridgeing the one but it does work pretty great now. Can't ay it my best though.

Can't speak for a T atty as never seen one but it's possible the atty was flooded with too much juice and that wont produce vapor same as being dry. Unscrew it and blow on the open end into a paper towel. If a really noticeable amount of juice comes out that's too much. I found I was overfilling a lot in the beginning. Wait for the taste to change; very obvious (and I kinda like it but thats another story :p)

Just keep at it. The best thing is more time giving more experience (though I also found having a few more attys helped too to really learn the ropes).
