This particular B&M hands out free wicks and wire though

Ya for the newbies and that's fantastic!

Example:
I have two miles of wire and enough rayon for a lifetime.
I also DIY juice because I go through a lot during a week.

I have zero reason to go to a B&M.
Most are not geared to service the experienced vaper.

You all sound like a bunch of vape snobs. Who cares how people vape? Because someone wants an easy setup is no reason to mock them. Just because someone wants to blow huge clouds without having to wrap a triple lindy Clapton coil in a v2 im too cool for school rda doesn't mean anything. Do you see any of those people mocking all you "experts"? Relax people. Always on the defensive and quick to judge.

bman... I think most of the mocking is toward some counter monkey who thinks RDAs are on their way out.

Clouds or flavor, the economics mean that experienced vapers will tend towards roll your own at some point. Even RBA options are becoming more and more of a deal breaker with high end tanks.

It's just a lot easier, and opens more possibilities, to build on an open deck than a rebuildable head or even RBA. Drippers aren't going anywhere, silly to think so.

I think free stuff is fantastic regardless of skill level lol.

As I said, It's fantastic for the people that need it.
Experienced vapers already have that stuff in bulk and don't need it, and I dont think that who it's intended for.
It's called a "loss leader".

LOL at people working in B&M thinking they have a clue
Some do, some don't. Just like anywhere really. 9 times out of 10 I know more about the cell phone I'm looking at than the person at the cell phone store, etc.

Kinda funny story about an employee at the B&M near me, a few months ago I stopped in, and he had just gotten the IPV4 in, asked him how he liked it, and if he had used the TC function at all. Well he claimed he was using temp control with nichrome80 on it, and it was amazing. I said that is amazing, and walked out SMH.

ROFL... the guy that owns the one near me acts all amazed at the stuff I come out with... I just say "ECF". Don't think he bothers following up on that pearl of wisdom. Obviously not a very thirsty horse. ;)

What constitutes an experienced vaper? I'm coming up on three years and I still supplement the wire I order with their free stuff. I'm vaping on a budget and any money saved sounds good to me!

In the real world not everyone will fall into a category.
It's a good thing.

However a business is tasked to do one thing: make profit.
They offered loss leaders to encourage new vapers to stay, learn and buy all their other supplies there, and for vapers who just bought an RBA and needs to get it up and running.

There's nothing wrong with it. It's a very old strategy and most businesses do something similar.

Most experienced vapers who build and use wire have some at home and dont need to take advantage of the freebies.
Personally I would feel guilty as I have wire and don't need freebies.
I leave it for people who do.

100 meters of kanthal costs about ~$5, if you can't afford that how do you afford juice?

That's true, and I'm also a big fan of free stuff. The thing is, this experienced vaper has no need of anything in a B&M, unless I want a driptip *right now* instead of waiting 3-5 days, or if I'm completely out of my ADV flavor(s) and the USPS is being their usual slow unmotivated selves. I mainly quit buying ejuice because none of it is high enough in PG to suit me, and most of it has very little taste to me, so it's truly a drastic emergency if I have to break down and buy ejuice. But I've never found anyone in a B&M that knew much about "vaping" as a whole, since none of the ones I've patronized seem to have anyone who visits ECF.

This shop happens to make some really good made to order juice so if I decide I want to vape some of their stuff, I'll grab the free kanthal and cotton they offer. I don't see the problem? They gave me a free Cloutank M3 to tinker with last night as well because I am friendly with the owners and I have done some promotional stuff for them in the past so they occasionally give me little gifts here and there.

It's unfortunate that my experience is questioned over a small matter like this, but what else do you expect on the internet lol
