Dripping Noob

Hi all. I just got some juice in today and I went ahead and got an atomizer so I can drip test juices. All I know about them is to put a couple of drops in there. Can anyone explain to me like I am 5 everything about this form of vaping, or send me away on some links? Maintenance, general life expectancy etc. I did some searching around but I am not coming up with much. Thanks!
