I will be getting my 510 today and i was wondering what's the appropriate amount of drops to drip and about how many hits can you get off of a ...... amount of drops?

I normally drip 3 drops directly onto the atty. This is pretty much the same amount as an analog would have been, about 10-15 puffs. I also highly recommend getting some drip tips for your new 510 as well! You can get some pretty cool looking ones from Nhaler by following this link. Colored 510/901 Drip Tips

I usually start with 3 drops and then just redrip using 2 to make sure I don't flood, YMMV.
If in the mean time you start and don't have a drip tip, you can use a cart that has the filling removed. just saw a post this morning with photos showing how to do all that, I'll see if I can find it.
