Dripping with PG?

I got some Rath juice a few weeks ago. I liked it. I wanted to try the menthol but they were out of the Rath stuff so I just got the other stuff they sell. I know it is PG instead of VG, so is that the reason why this stuff is really watery? I dripped one drop on my atty and I was like damn this stuff is really watery, so I let it sit for a few seconds before I tried to use it. Soon as I went to take a drag from it and ended up getting some into my mouth and after I stopped the light was still going and you could hear it "sizzling" and my atty got really hot. The same thing happened when I filled the cartridge up with about 5-6 drops. Am I doing something wrong?
