I don't have one myself, but I like the design of it.

I do have a manta and a few magmas

The Kennedy RDA (clone -- not sure which manufacturer but reviews should point you in the right direction) is really awesome for both flavor and clouds, but it can be a bit tricky to build on for a first-timer. To be honest though, all RDA's have their own little building quirks that you learn to work around, whether it's a smaller deck versus a larger one, or strangely placed airflow holes. It's a learning experience, albeit a fun one.

The Patriot is tried and true for reliability, and the clones are dirt cheap. You could also go with an iGo-L (single coil only) or an iGo-W if you wanted to start off super-simple.

My personal favorite RDA is a Doge. Right now I'm using a bit of a frankenstein of the different variations (V1/V2/etc).. "IT'S ALIVE!!" but its been a perfect RDA for me. Nice big deck, plenty of variability in the airflow.. Good stuff. Plenty of cheap options out there in the 20-40$ price range.

I almost got my face blown off because of my Kennedy Clone. The only thing that prevented it was I had it connected to my IPV regulated device...... It was the fault of the RDA and not mine...... It had a microscopic fault in it that allowed the top cap to come into contact with the coil winding's and create a dead short. But that's what I get for buying a clone from an unknown manufacturer.

At any rate @nyiddle is correct as the Kennedy is a real cloud monster... Pretty good at flavor too.

Oh a clone, thought you meant the originial

Lol heck no, I can't justify spending more than 50$ on an RDA, especially considering I've only had good experiences with the clones. Clone companies like Tobeco and Infinite (for the most part) have their stuff together.

What? I'm sorry, but that is classic "user error" unless the top cap literally like.. Fell apart into the coil or something (which seems impossible).

Before you fire any coil, you should make sure you're not shorting out against the top cap. It's extremely easy to do in literally every RDA. Look at how close my Mini Freakshow gets to the top cap.

It doesn't touch, but if it did, it'd be my fault. It's damn close though, maybe a millimeter or less of clearance.

Normally I would agree with that but in this specific case the top cap had those LONG airflow tubes that attach to the upper portion of the top cap and point inwards towards the center of the atomizer.... Whoever manufactured that top cap made those metal tubes too long and you would never know it until you put the cap on and it blows your face off. Those tubes were so long that they touched one of my coils and it certainly wasn't because my coils were sitting too high or not positioned properly. Needless to say, I ripped those out of the cap and never had any problems after that..

Nah man, I am extremely careful about things like that when I build. I always inspect everything very well. Heck, if it would have blown my face off then it might have improved me :w00t:

Hello Friends! I want to give dripping a try. Any suggestions for a good RDA? I am using a Joyetech Evic VT. I don't want to spend too much $$ right now until I decide if dripping is something I want to continue. Thanks!!

I use a tugboat v1. I coil it dual 5 wraps of 26g kanthal coming in at about 0.5 ohm and get better flavour/clouds than with subtanks at the same resistance

I would recommend the infinite clt any version 2 or 3. They are authentic inexpensive rdas that are easy to build on and give you the best of both worlds
CLT RDA Rebuildable Atomizer by Infinite
Thanks everyone for the input. Since I'm a newbie w RDAs, I better buy authentic and something easy to build on. I may give Infinite clt a try.
