Drop in coil tank recommendations

Needing some help here. I have been a squonker since I started vaping around 4 years ago. I am now using an Aegis mini with an aegis mesh tank that I got from the classie as a carry around mod. I’m really liking not having to mess with building & wicking, so I ordered an XVO stick. I’m looking for a good tank to fit the mod. Would like good juice capacity, good drip in coils (tc options if possible), needs to be 24mm or less diameter, & tip fill.

Hello @Boobsley, Vaporesso Skrr range of tanks are decent. I've used the Skrr myself, but don't have any experience of the newer Skrr-s version.

You can use NRG GT Core coils, and I've used the CCell and mesh coils in TC mode. They like TCR to be set at 88.

The only thing that is going to come close to you usual juice capacity AND fit on that thing that I know of is an aromamizer supreme v2 with the 8ml extended glass. It’s a tall boy though, also That puts you back wicking stuff which isn’t the point. The thing about coil tanks is they don’t tend to hold a lot of juice. Maybe look at a bubble glass on a freeman mesh pro? That might get you close to 5ml anyway.

@bombastinator, the standard Skrr has 8ml capacity. And had to check, so does the Skrr S.

They both use bubble glass to pull off this trick.

Thanks for the input. I am aware that 8 ml may be rare for a tank. Just looking for 4 or better. I never go through 8 ml during a work day, at least not until I get home, at that point I have more mods & juice readily available. I will look into the recommendations

Looks like the sskrr is 30mm 24 is the widest that the XVOstick will handle.

The new Smok Tf 2019 is amazing. The coils are plug in and it's 30mm at it's widest, 24 mm base iirc. No leaks. High sitting deck for good airflow. Should have a look at that. Best Sub-ohm tank I've had in years.

Smok attys have a better history than their mods. Their coils have a rep for working well but not lasting particularly long. The top fill swivel and slide systems have a rep for failure. Not so much the screw on stuff though.

By now on my Baby I would've changed the coil three times after it started leaking like a sieve. I mean no disrespect I just think this happens to be a home run for Smok. And don't get me wrong, the Freemax and Horizontech tanks are amazing tanks I just happen to believe this one is right up there with them.

Not impossible. I’ve always felt SMOK COULD get their thumb out, the question was if they ever actually would. They showed every indication of liking it where it was. Let’s hope.

Vaporesso Cascade or Cascade baby are said to work well and have good flavor and a variety of coil options.

Take a look at the original Nautilus. 22mm, holds 5ml. One of the most popular tanks of all time, an only recently discontinued. You'll be able to find them, along with their clones and parts, for years to come, and the coils aren't going anywhere soon, because they also fit a raft of other tanks by other manufacturers as well. The coil heads are inexpensive, and can be found in a variety of wire and configurations. I use the newer mesh ones.

The coil heads are great. Every tank that takes them that I've used gives nice, smooth hits, with very few malfunctions.

The Nautilus is a bottom filler, but it's also big, and very easy, actually, to fill and replace coils. The new Nautilus 2/2s (new, and helping to assure the continued supply of Aspire BVC coil heads) are both top fillers, and real winners, too. But they're only 2ml for the 2, and 2.6ml for the 2s. They're really easy to fill, though.

I have the Fireluke mesh pro and Vaporesso NRG. The coils for the NRG are SS- can’t recall if the mesh pro’s are. Both are about 5 ml capacity iirc and have good flavor. But the slide fill on the NEG is a lot stiffer and more secure. I’ve had that mesh pro dump in my pocket, might be a factor to consider.

Haven’t tried the Cascade, but it seems very similar to the NRG.

The XVO Stick is a unique design which is going to limit your selection of tanks. Bubble glass need not apply! Tank diameter <24mm on top of large capacity and TC compatibility is going to be a challenge.

Don’t know if this is the exact model you purchased, there seems to be some variations – but all seem to follow that same counter sunk tank design.

To stop that, accidental opening, if its going in a pocket or bag put a vape band around the slide top. My misses had her Scion open a couple of times when shopping but not now with the band to stop it.

The suggested tanks all look great, but I think all are too wide. I’ve been eyeing the clieto tanks, anyone have experience with those. Also, looked at the old school innokin isub v, & isub g or s.

The isub b is a pretty good tank, 24mm, 3ml straight glass, flavor is good and the plexus coil gives me 3-5 weeks depending on juice. Coil compatible with the whole isub tank line. Top fill isn't my favorite, no ports; just the open tank. Cleito tanks have good flavor and the ss ones would last me up tp a month with commercial juices. They will seep overnight and need a blowout in the morning.
