Hi there,

I've been lurking here for awhile, learning a lot from you good people. I've also been getting lots of new vaping gear thanks in large part to what I've been learning here.

I've got a new and strange issue today. My Smoktech Drunker tank (or Drunk Tank as I've seen it on some sites) has stopped working on my Vision Spinner. It works on all the other ego batteries I've tried it on, and other things work on the Spinner. It's just those two that have stopped getting along, which is sad because it's my favorite combination among the vaping equipment I've got. The spinner is my only VV device, in case that's relevant - it is to me, as that's why I like the Drunker Tank on it. I've tried pulling the center connector bit on the tank out a bit, and I think it moved a bit when I did this, but it didn't seem to make a difference in the connection.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on here and what I can do to get it working?

Thanks,

Russ

Okay, somewhere along the line you tightened something down to tight.
Either:
A) the Spinner center pin is pushed down a bit, lift with tweezers or tiny screwdriver or
B) the drunker Tank center pin is pushed up - Hook the center pin(Small screwdriver) and pull slightly down.

They are not contacting.

Thanks for the reply crxess. I hadn't thought of trying to pull up the Spinner's pin, but I did try it now that you mentioned it. It doesn't seem to move.

But i found the solution. Pulling down the pin on the Drunker was fairly ineffective, but what I just thought of that worked was unscrewing the top deck (the part that forms the top closure of the tank) partway and pushing downward on it to push the pin out from the inside. Hopefully this will help someone else if they run into the same problem.

You just helped someone here.

For anyone else stuck, when rebuilding, don't push the centre post back in (the gold one on the top part). Let it get pushed back in by the tank when screwing it back together.

Yes. I had forgotten about this thread, and for some reason I didn't see you had replied here until tonight, but these days, that is pretty mcuh how I do it. I actually push the pin in and it usually goes all the way in, then I pull it back out a millimeter or two to help it make contact with the part in the post inside the tank.
