Is it advisable to dry burn the carbon off a wick/coil on a Z-Atty-Pro? I know the rba doesn't matter in general. This could clean the coil/wick for any rba.
Should be fine, I dont see any reason not to on that wick. I had one for a LONG time on my z atty before i sold it and it got dry burned literally hundreds of times, you should be fine.
if so, you may want to be careful as to not melt it.
the heat soak from the wick can and will get to that insulator.
if you like melted plastic, by all means go ahead.
I removed the insulator in favor of larger wick hole, and no burnt plastic taste.... to each their own.
I run my ZAPs with the insulator removed. But, with any genesis type rba, I dry burn between every one or two fills; just to check the coil; and to get rid of any crud build up.
