I use 100% vg. Been vapin that for over a year now, just vg. Do other vg'rs wake up with their eyes pasted shut and excess oily skin?
Yes - on both counts!
I can use very little PG (causes me breathing problems) so I use a max VG, and my eyes get a little red in the inner corners, plus when I wake up in the morning, it's hard to open my eyes and the right one often stays shut for a minute or two!

Think I'll try the suggested solution of drinking more water ..don't like water much but I'll try it! :)

My face and the front of my hair can get oily too.

I don't use high VG because it bothers me more than PG does. But, I do get the red, crusty eyes and I drink tons of water. Only makes sense that the vapor can settle on your skin, eyes and hair causing them to be oily or irritated to me. VG is a humectant used in lotions and soaps. Also in food such as cake frosting to keep it moist.

Just had a thought that the oily skin could definitely be from the VG. The "fog" produced on the inside of car windows from vaping, particularly visible in cold weather, has been discussed in other places on ECF. It could possibly be that same "fog" that's settling on your skin.
Yes, most likely, and it wipes/rinses off easily enough - just like with windows!
Probably what irritates eyes too.

My eyes have always done this, as I have severe allergies. I don't think I have ever woken up without my eyes matted shut. When I was a child, I used to panic and think I was blind, lol. But really, vaping has had no effect on this either way. My mixes are all more PG than VG, and I only vape 3-5mls per day, though.

Hope you get it figured out, waking up this way is no fun.

Hi All,

I almost choke to death on 100% VG. The reason I received an emphysema diploma.
Not the VG itself, I may have had it for years. But it was the trigger for me to the Pulmo.

I read in this forum that VG was healthier. Then, the contrary.

I use 10% VG to smooth out the harsh hit of PG.
5% Vodka helps too.

Based in my experience, I will not recommend more than 30% VG.

Also consider less than a gallon a day of water, insufficient.
And I only vape 3 or 4 mls. 3.6% Nic.

Be safe. Carlos.
