higher power needs faster wicking
How would I produce faster wicking? Thinner or thicker cotton? I have the airflow wide open on my plume veil. I pull very hard too (my nickname back in the day was iron lungs) so I don't think I could increase it anymore unless I modify my rda myself

It would work better if you wicked it so that there is empty space under the coils for air to travel. Most importantly, don't just stuff cotton in the deck. There needs to be room for air to travel. And line the cyclops holes up with the coils, exactly... this is the most important airflow.

Let me see if I have a bulid in my Plume Veil...

Ahh, wicking for low ohms is a practice made perfect. The less the better. Any amount too much and it`ll choke the juice flow. You want barely any resistance at all when pulling your wick through. And big shoulders, a puff of cotton right before the coil helps keep a reserve.

What atty is this? Iv found attys with lengthy vertical climbs on the wicks dont do well for real low ohms, like a Magma.

... I do. here is a picture. This is 24g around 2mm, but it would be the same idea with 26.

That looks pretty shmexy my friend. I definitely need to work on my craftsmanship. I definitely have too much cotton in there. Do you measure your leg length when you make your coils? They look pretty identical

i took another picture with flash and updated the above post... its a bit easier to see. No, I don't measure any lengths. But I intentionally left sapce there in front, underneath, and behind the coil because the plume veil has airflow back there through the negative posts.

I trimmed about half of the cotton legs of on each side of the coil. Now the cotton curls down from the coils and the tips are fully touching the base of the well. I have the upside down U shape so the airflow can come from behind those negative posts and holy crap did it make a difference. Ive pulled this thing 9 times already and it isn't dry. Is pretty cloudy in this small room now...

Have you ever tried rayon/cellucotton wicking? I don't care for it myself, but it really does wick well, and it's far more resistant to heat than cotton. There's a humongous thread about it, if you're interested.
